So who has bought an AP CONVINCED they would get 2 seperate trips out of it...only to have it expire B4 they got back? Or spent way more than they wanted trying to squeak 2 trips in to *get their $ worth?* I know 8 days is the breaking even point, and the possible room discount...but if I know DH, he will def try and keep me to 18-24 mo's BETWEEN TRIPS  The horror! Such a cruel man!:teeth: ;) Now we live near Chicago so getting there is the main obstacle $ wise...and we have driven but that adds 4 days to our vacation and therefor, would eat into the time available for a 2nd trip. Plus we were all spoiled by the UPH with the 7/4 FTP last summer...I think I know my answer now...but just curious...anyone?

Plus--with your AP--you do not pay to park at any of the theme parks if you happen to stay off site (that is $7/day). Plus there are many restaurants where you will get a 10% discount off of lunch. Plus discounts on tours and recreation.

8 days is the break even, but with all the other factors, it might help push you over the edge.

a few years back and boy did we have fun......we went with our whole family ......my MIL our kids and their spouses and the two grandkids.....and US........we had a blast.....so we knew that we didn't do everything that we normally would do because we wanted the MIL to have the best time.....so (its a small world six times) and stuff like that.....we decided to go back labor day weekend and stayed four days ....then we went to see the Osbourne Christmas lights and then we did our week vacation in March and we got 28 days in that one years pass.........our air was our biggest thing and we watched for that price that we could do and we would grab it.......we figure we do not smoke drink or gamble..........so we said .....lets go for it...and we did

We only buy APs on the years that we will be in WDW for 8 straight days at one time. In other words, I would not buy an AP if I was going to be in WDW 4 days in July, then 4 days in December. I'd be too fearful that something would happen to prevent me from going in December. Plus my money could be better served earning interest in the bank. However, if I am guaranteed I will be spending at least 8 days in the parks, as in the case of 8 straight days in July, then I'd buy an AP.
