If you have an AP voucher that has NOT been activated, and you are checking in after midnight, how do you activate it for the AP rate? My sister is heading down and they will be arriving for check in after midnight but have an AP rate for CSR. They will be dead tired as they are driving in. Any helpers out there? She hasn't purchased her voucher yet, but wanted to get it in advance, is it cheaper that way?

I think all you have to do is show your voucher. I think AP prices are the same, whether you buy them in advance or at WDW. I think it is only the hopper passes that are cheaper to buy in advance.:D I am not possitive though, thus all the I thinks.:D

Catsrule, you are correct. Annual Passes are the same price whether you purchase them in advance or wait until your arrival.

Hi FINFAN,

Hopefully you don't think I'm following you around on the DisBoards! Just happened to see this post.
Basically when your sister checks in after midnight, (or when ever), the Cast Member will usually apply the discounted price with just a voucher, with the understanding that she will have to bring back an activated pass the following day. If your sister fails to do this, then the CM will charge the full rack rate of the room. Just make sure your sister understands that the resort needs to see an actual Annual Pass in order to receive the discount. All she needs to do is show an activated AP the following day and she should be fine!
With your sister checking in so late, the CM should be understanding and hopefully this will go smoothly for your sister. I'd recommend that your sister call the resort prior to her trip just to make sure this is how they do it.

Hey diznee25! Now I am folllowing you!:p Thank you both for the responses. Maybe one day I will be as fortunate as to worry about my AP rules;) what a dream to have that in hand! I will let her know.

I don't think you'll have any problems. We just returned from 8 nights at WDW - staying at 2 different resorts with an AP rate at each. No one ever asked to see my pass or even mentioned the AP rate. If they should ask, the voucher should be fine. They may just ask you to stop by the next day to show your new AP pass.
