Hello - We are taking a toddler later this month to Disneyland. Does anyone know if the collapsible tricycle strollers are permitted?

Security is probably going to consider that a tricycle and those aren’t allowed in the Parks.

I was at the parks tonight and saw this three wheeled double stroller get loaded onto the tram. Even folded, it was huge. It did not have a wheelchair/DAS tag on it.

Thank you both! I advised my niece that this seemingly falls under the prohibited tricycle item but that it also likely depends on who you get at security. We will be there for 5 days, so not sure I personally would want to risk having to return it to the room, but will leave it up to her and her husband. If they do try, I will report back.

I don't like your odds. And what would you do if they turned you down at the gate?

Practically speaking, I can also see the child getting tired of their feet constantly moving and that could become problematic in itself. I agree that this type of stroller falls under prohibited items.

Did it have peddles? The one in the OP had peddles that the child seemingly could ride off on their own.
I didn't look for pedals, but it looked more like what mom2rtk described as a 3 wheel stroller.

It caught everyone's attention because the child jumped out of the stroller and unlatched the chain used to block access to the first car. You can see that the chain has a handicap flag on it. There is usually a CM standing there to open the access as needed. The father first tried to push the double stroller between the rails but it was too big. He tried to fold the stroller, but couldn't fold it small enough to squeeze between the rails. It caused quite a scene. After the father got it folded, there was no room for the two women and children so he unlatched the chain to another cordoned off handicap lane for the rest of his family. Unfortunately, there were no CM around to stop him or re-direct him to the ramp. :sad2:

Even with the peddles removed, I’ve seen security deny entry to strollers like the one you posted.
To your point, it’s their call if they still bring it based on the info you’ve given them. Good luck!

That is crazy. If it had a stroller with wheelchair tag, they could have gone up the ramp and rolled right on and removed the kids. But taking down the chain is not ok. That area is for overflow of handicap parties that have gone up the ramp to wait and be able to board the same tram as their families. I often will go to the lines for the second car and then go over to the front one if those rows are empty because they were not needed by a party for a handicap family. Kind of makes me think they have done this before.

I was in the first row of the next car (the row where benches face in both directions). I thought maybe they had a wheelchair tag and were directed to the first car/ramp. I didn't see the tag when the stroller was upright. Once he got it folded, and onto the tram, the handle was higher than his head (did I mention that it was huge?!?!) so it was obvious that there were no tags. We had to wait a while for the tram so everyone in my row was watching and talking about it. And, of course, once on the tram, he had his young child sitting on the outside. :sad2:
