Tricky borrowing question...

OK, here goes. I am new so please forgive me...
I wish to book AKV at the 11 month mark to reserve for August of next year. Then at the 7 month mark I wish to change the reservation over to Vero Beach. It seems like VB will be a few more points, so when I call at the 7 month mark to change it over, will I, at that time, be able to borrow the points to complete the reservation?

Borrow at the time of booking. So when you call for the VB reservation use the points you need then.

That you can only borrow the amount of points you need for a reservation. Not real sure on that one though. I would think it would be better that way, just in case something happens and then you haven't borrowed more points that will have to used before the end of your use year. Just remember when you borrow, they can't go back in their original use year.

Yes, you will be able to borrow additional points for the reservation at 7 months. You will actually be making a new reservation at VB whether you already have a reservation at AKV or not - you are not actually "changing" a reservation - you are cancelling one and making another and will be able to use whatever points are accessible to you for those dates - banked, current and/or borrowed.
