Trick or Treat!

We are actually planning a trip next year that will include Oct 31st. My kids will be 7 and 3. Neighborhood trick or treating is big for us. Obviously, trip to Disney vs trick or treating, even for them- no brainer won't miss neighborhood trick or treating. I am wondering though- does anyone trick or treat at the resorts? I think mine are too young to really get the value out of the MK party- having a hard time stomaching $60 to trick or treat for a few hours. Any suggestions?

Things change, but the resorts have done some Halloween things, like decorate bags for trick or treating, and have given out treats duiing a parade. We were at VWL when our DGC did those things in the lodge. We've been in HHI on Halloween, and there were CMs giving out candy along a set trail to follow.

At WDW there has been trick or treating & a party along the Boardwalk that our DGC have enjoyed.

If it's any consolation, it is from 4 till 12. If you pay by the day (like we usually do, with non-exp passes), the party isn't a bad price.

But if you have an AP or several MYW days passes (where the cost by day goes south after the 2nd or 3rd day), it is pretty costly.

We were at the world last year for Halloween. Did MNSHP on Halloween night! It was so much fun! The parade was a bit crowded, but the few rides we went on had a rather small wait (many were walk-ons). And the candy Between the four of us (DW, DD, DNeph, and Myself) we walked out with over 20 Lbs of candy. We had so much candy that I sorted the candy back at the room and left two bags of "cheap" candy behind for the Mousekeeper. We also all dressed in costume, which added to the fun. The really nice thing was that we were staying at our second home (BLT), so we just had to walk back after the party.

One thing that should be noted is that the party will cost $70 if you want to go on Halloween, and no discounts are given that night.
