Trick or treat, smell my feet! UPDATE 9/12 Trip Binder pics!!

That's right! We will be in the World for 14 (!) days celebrating Halloween, Food and Wine, and DH's Birthday! And we can't wait!!!!
This is my first time writing a trip report of any kind, but I figured I read so many of them, I might as well write my own! So on to the cast!

me:

Kelly, 29, mom of 5. Slightly Disney obsessed (thanks to my grandparents spoiling me with Disney trips as a child). I am also a Stay at home mom who runs a cake decorating business out of the house. I love all things crafts, especially what I call the 3 Super "S's" sewing, stamping a scrapbooking. OK, you know it, I am a total craft geek. I am not really organized at all (I know what you are thinking... "what?! and she has 5 kids?!") But I am an obsessive Disney planner. Stay tuned for all the outfits I am planning on making for the kids!
DH:

Goofy, 30, celebrating 31st bday on the trip. Loves Disney, but not as much as me. He only books the trips to please me. He is a Big Kid himself, so essentially I have 6 kids. He thinks matching T-shirts are cheesy, but wears them anyway. His favorite characters are the muppets. He is also hoping the Red Sox win the world series so we can see them in the parade in Disney.

DS:

Phineas, 10. Is officially an adult by Disney standards this trip. He can't wait to seek and destroy every coaster. He is the worlds LEAST picky child and can't wait to eat around the world. His fave character is Donald Duck.

DS:

Ferb, 8. my super quiet, super agreeable love bug. This kid lives to please his parents I tell ya. He is also a thrill seeker. Has plans to ride Rock n Roller coaster over and over and over. He loves Captain Jack Sparrow, and is dreaming about the breakfast pizza at chef mickeys.

DD:

Ariel, 6. or Little miss mouth as she is better known as. Thinks that she knows better than her parents, and likes to test us. She can also be the sweetest thing ever. She is in love with all things princess, and is the girliest of girls. Cannot wait to do the BBB, and meet the Princesses.

DS:

Lightening McQueen, 4. He is the most excited about this trip I think. He has been counting down since last Christmas. He was too little to remember out last trip, and will love every minute of this one I think. He can get really grumpy when hot, hungry, or tired. We will have to keep on the ball with this one.

DD:

Tink, will be 23 months on trip. This girl is a little spitfire. She can disappear in 2.5 seconds. She has totally made me rethink the kiddie leash thing. She loves "Nouse" aka mickey mouse, and gets really excited when she sees him. Does not like loud noises, quick movement, or dark places. Do you think we will be sitting out at all with this one?

"I" didn't book our trip. I was actually completely surprised about it.
Before I start with that story. I will give you a little back story...

We go to my grandmothers for a family dinner along with my siblings and parents every Wednesday night (Tonight is family dinner night!!!). After our last trip we had been discussing how cool it would be to have a grand gathering for our next trip. Every wednesday we would talk about it until we all actually decided to book it. And so we booked our trip for Oct. 15-Oct 29 2008, where both DH, and BIL's birthdays both fell. We were using our timeshare (2 weeks banked) and then switching to Old Key West for the last 5 days. As we were planning things slowly started falling apart. Both my brothers lost their jobs. my sister got pregnant and would be REALLY pregnant when we went. Everyone started backing out until it was just us left. We were still good to go (we had figured out the lodging, two 2 bedroom condo's were a little much for us.) until DH's business started to dive last summer. We did the numbers and there was NO WAY we could go. So we canceled our trip. I was really devastated. We were all really looking forward to it. We all needed a vacation.
Fast forward to this past Christmas...
We finished opening all our gifts between the kids and us, I was cleaning up the wrapping and Goofy appears with a package about the size of a shirt box. He said that he thinks a gift was misplaced and that it looked like this one was for everyone. We ripped off the paper and inside was...................

Our Confirmation for our next trip to DISNEY WORLD!!!!! Also inside was $250 Disney dollars, our tickets, and the unofficial guide. I couldn't believe Goofy could have hid this from me!!
I asked him when we were going (because I was too excited to look at the ressie's.) and he answered "October, we will be there for Halloween."

I'm not gonna lie... I was disappointed. I thought we were leaving right away. lol. I think Goofy realized that because he said " I know how much you enjoy planning the trip, so I made it far enough out so you could sew the kids outfits, make ressie's and whatever else you want to do."
Awwww.... he then said "the main surprise was that the trip is all paid for so we won't have to cancel."
I love my Goofy So that's how we got here.

We are driving down

We have 7 day with water park fun and more passes

and lastly! We have tickets to mnsshp on Oct. 27th. (Goofy's Birthday!)

Wow! Sorry. I promised I would never let it get this far behind!!
We moved a few weeks ago, and it totally kept me from updating this!

On to the planning! I have planned all of our days and all of our ADR's. I even made a super cool planning binder that I will share with you guys a little later. Oh, and of course I have sewn some super cute outfits, that I will also share
So here is our schedule so far... I will make a note before I begin that we went for 2 weeks on our last trip and visited a park EVERY day. My Dh was not a happy person by day 10, so he begged me to tone it down a bit. Here is our toned down plans. lol...
October 23- 1st day of travel. We are leaving around noon. we will be picking up the kids from school and leaving from there! I plan on decorating the car for when we pick them up with fun disney stuff and things like "Disney or bust on it" LOL.
October 24- Second day of travel. It takes us about 24 hours of driving time to get to the World. We should arrive around 4ish with stopping to eat and stretch and whatnot. We like to drive straight through on the way there. We just want to get there ASAP. Check in at Orange Lakes is at 4, so that puts us right on schedule. Rob is going to sleep while the older kids unpack what they want , and I will take the little guys to BJ's to get park snacks and dinner for the next two weeks.
October 25- First day of FUN!!! We are going to get our feet wet today! Literally. Since Typhoon Lagoon will be closed our second week, and we have only ever been to Blizzard Beach, we thought today would be a great day to go. Sunday is supposedly the best day for water parks, so on we go!
October 26- Today we are going to the our first "Real" Disney park. DHS!! This actually has most of my favorite attractions in all of Disney (I know throw stones at me) I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fantasmic, and I love all the other shows (Little Mermais, Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones) I love the Muppets, and Star Wars. AND I LOVE THE ROCK N ROLLER COASTER! I am a coaster and Aerosmith girl! It's a great combo. Anyway, I am really looking forward to this day. I made super cute iron on "stick family" shirts for us, and Minnie Mouse patchwork twirlie skirts for the girls (pics to come).
We have ressies at Sci-Fi at 1:10 pm. We have never been and the boys really wanted to try this one. I plan on staying until fantasmic (if the littles allow).
October 27 Day 3 of fun! Today is a BIG day!!! And by that I mean on fun and money It is DH's 31st Birthday, and we are doing Chef Mickey's, BBB, Pirate's League, adn MNSSHP! Crazy! I called at 5 am on 90 days out to get the exact times I wanted. I think I did pretty well! We are sleeping in, and have a 11:15 ressie to Chef Mickey's. We went at the last seating before they closed to set up for dinner last trip, and it was perfect! We got the characters practically to ourselves. We are headed down to DTD after for a 2pm appt. for Zoe at the BBB. I had heard that the BBB at MK can be super crowded on MNSSHP days, so I wanted to avoid that. We are going to shoot over to MK to get in the park for 4 after Zoe's appt. is done, and then all 3 boys will be doing thier Pirate League makeover at 5:25. We should be ready for the party to start at 7!!
Sidenote: if you ask any of my children, this is the ONE THING they are the most excited about! We can't wait for this party!!! Oh, and dh will be getting the Birthday fun card to spend on halloween Merchandise.
Ocober 28- Day 4 of fun. As you can imagine we will all be toast after yesterdays festivities. So... day 4 is devoted to whatever we feel the need to be doing. Sleeping... Swimming... Shopping... (insert devilish grin here)
October 29- Day 5 of fun! We are going to be going to Epcot today! The kids love this park. Last trip they choose this as thier "last day" park. We ended up here for 3 days total. We plan on eating ourselves into oblivion with the FWF booths. I think we will just play it by ear as to what we really want to do, but I think we will hang out in FW for the first part of the day. Soarin' will be a first though. Everyone loved that last time...

I need to feed some kiddies some breakfast, so I need to take a break, but...

Yay, you're back! I thought you'd given up, already. Sounds fun, so far. I love the idea of decorating the van. And wow! Chef Mickey's, BBB, pirate league, and MNSSHP all in one day! That will be so fun! We loooved MNSSHP last time we went, but then, who doesn't? Haven't done BBB or pirate league, yet, so it will be fun to see how these go for you. Particularly the pirate thing. I haven't even seen this one, yet. Is it like the boys' answer to BBB?

Short Intermission before I move forward with the itinerary!


I bought this super cute bag for the parks the other day. I just love it! It is just the right size. I can hold all the necessities, plus my DSLR!

it is the Vera bradley Hipster in Bali Gold. Very me (at least that's what my Mom said. lol.)

I also made this little binder (OK, huge) a few weeks back to get the details of the trip organized. it is newly made in these pics, and is now brimming with info a papers with dates, times, confirmation numbers, and more.

we have one of these pages for everywhere we are going, and they are now all filled in.

I will be back with more later!!!!

Thanks I actually got the idea from another Dis'ers TR, and a different Dis'er from the creative DISigns board made the pages for me. I'll see if I can find them.
