I know RPR over at Universal is dog friendly. It's a beautiful hotel, and despite four different stays, I've never seen a dog anywhere on the property.
Now, that being said, I am not a fan of the idea. I have two beautiful, boisterous, loving and wonderful Labradour Retirevers and I couldn't bring them. They would bark and bound out the door every time we opened it, they would need to be taken out to pee 100 times a day. Part of vacation is leaving them with our very competent and expensive pet sitter and knowing they are in good hands. They would be a nuisance at a hotel, and that's MY problem. It's certainly not the problem of other paying customers. Then again I don't let them stand in the yard and bark at home, and I've NEVER not picked up after them on a walk. NOT ONCE. NEVER. And I'd like to find the people that do that and kick them in the shin for making responsible pet owners look bad.
I guess this idea could work for certain dogs with certain personalities.. just not mine. And it seems like an unfair annoyance to put on other guests with the barking and mess.
If every pet owner were as considerate as you, I would feel much less strongly opposed to Disney's policy change. Sadly, I suspect that there are hoards of pet owners that simply don't give a flying you-know-what about their fellow Resort guests. I sincerely hope that I am proven wrong.
