Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

I think I read this to be true, but can I book them at 90 days and then if I cancel my trip or decide not to do the extra FP can I cancel and get refunded my money?

I have really been on the fence about booking this because I really wanted to make this trip more about taking the time to enjoy club level amenities as opposed to being in the parks the entire time. We are usually a commando touring family that rope drops every day, and my kids will appreciate sleeping in a little bit. With the news of the new tiers in HS, I am thinking I might go ahead and purchase the extra FPs to help ease the stress. For those of you who have already booked these FPs, what has your overall strategy/timing of Fps been? Hoping someone is willing to share the times/rides that they've booked to help inspire ideas for my touring plan.

I’m with you on this...my husband does not like the go go go like I am so I’m thinking this might be the best of both worlds but it’s already a lot of money. Would love to hear others thoughts and ideas.

We arrive on 4/14. My strategy was that I booked the regular FPs early so that we can still try for a 4th. The extras I booked 1 or 2 at the early park and then 1 or 2 at the later park. I found that now we will actually have MORE time in the lounge because we won't be grabbing and going in the morning. We have always been EARLY RD people, but not this trip and it's making my 16 year old boys very happy! An example of one day-
Lounge breakfast and head to MK 9ish (we would still like to arrive shortly after park opening, but will head to least popular rides). Regular FPs 9:30-10:30, 10:30-11:30, 11:30-12:30; LTT Lunch 11:50; Extra FP 7dmt 12:30-1:30; back to Poly; Lounge apps at 5... Then extra FPs for Soarin and TT from 5:45-6:45; 6:45-7:45... Eat some around countries and then we have the special viewing for Illuminations that comes with the extra FPs. We most likely won't stay for it because we are not big fans of it so we should make it back for lounge desserts by 10 no problem.

I'll say these really change how you approach planning. With a Fast Pass for everything, I feel no need to optimize how to use them quickly to maybe get one extra. Even the days you don't have the +3 are more relaxed because you know you're hitting all the headliners on other days. I don't think there's a best way to use them. One day I did 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, another 2, 3, 4 (dinner) 7, 8, 9. You can book them however you want since you'll have rides lined up pretty much all day.

We are planning on doing this for 3 days in June, I finally got our room reservations booked when the summer discounts came out. Since we are past 90 days but not yet to 60 days I am hoping/assuming that I'll still have no problems booking and I'll still have the huge advantage as far as booking all 6 FPs as long as I do it prior to when my 60 day window would open up, correct? I was sitting down today to actually plan out what Fps to get when, and I noticed that the Animal Kingdom is not listing any times for Rivers of Light on the main hours page under fireworks and nighttime spectacular, while MK, DHS, and Epcot all list theirs and the times. Is there anything going on regarding ROL, or is it just not listed as a nighttime spectacular on the official WDW times page? I was planning on having that be out nighttime show with the special viewing area for our AK day with the extra FPs.

It’s just not on the WDW page. They are probably still adjusting the timing of the shows before they release the schedule. You can plan on it for your nighttime experience at AK. :)

I would still try to get your FPs as soon as you can, especially since the window is 60 days before the length of the whole vacation. That means people will be getting FPs for things like FOP and at exactly 60 days, you might not have the exact times you want.

We will be at Disney for 8 days this summer and purchased 3 days of extra FPs with the night time show. I made our plans yesterday with DSS and it was so pleasant....seriously pleasant. We plan to have breakfast at the lounge and then head to the parks around 9:00 (or so, except for the day TSL opens) and then I made all of my regular FPs for before lunch or 10-1, then a break, then back to the parks for the extra FPs (3/4-close). As others have mentioned, there is a certain peace of mind knowing that we have all of the rides we really want to do (some multiple on different days). This leaves us with the other days without the extra passes the ability to either get FPs for the same rides or different rides and take in shows or be more leisurely because we KNOW we have the rides we want. The only way I convinced my husband to come back this summer after going last summer was to make this a more leisurely trip. Getting these FPs and those nighttime show arrangements allows us to do that because we do not feel we are missing out on anything. If you would like our exact schedule, please let me know!

How early do you think I would have to be to the reserved fantasmic seating area for the nighttime option on our extra FP day. If I make a RnRC FP for 8:00 and we have to do it twice because of rider switch will we have time with fantasmic being at 9, or is that cutting it too close?

I was on the fence too but decided when we booked a quick trip for my birthday in June that we'd try it. One of the best things for me is that you can book the fast passes in one park and still have a preferred viewing in Magic Kingdom I have to say that Signature service was incredible (and I had a HORRIBLE interaction last June with them). I was going to book my preferred fast passes in Magic Kingdom because I wanted that preferred viewing area. When I started to book my regular fast passes for the morning in Animal Kingdom, it was explained that actually that's not the way to do it. Because by booking my preferred fast passes in Animal Kingdom I got FOP, Navi and safari, and still got the preferred viewing for Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom that night. This is HUGE as I used to book the horrible dessert party just to get preferred viewing for my handicapped friend , and now I can get 3 additional fast passes for terrific things!

sure hope this keeps going for my December trip too

I asked them this yesterday and she said to be on the safe side I should be back there around 15-20 minutes before the show. She did say that it totally depends on how many people decided to do that particular night time show on that evening. Your name is on a list and she made it sound like it would be really easy to get in close to showtime.

Thanks! I feel like we could make it, but with having to do it all twice I might just err on the cautious side and move things up 30 min. Of course, we could always just hold onto the rider switch and use it another day also if we were running out of time. Decisions, decisions. I would so much rather just decide ALL of this as we go while on vacation - but it is what it is and that's just not how it works anymore, particularly at Disney, so i have to play the game....

If you got to the ride at exactly 8, did the ride twice, I'm betting you'd get through pretty quick unless the FP line was more than 15 minutes. The rides are typically only a few minutes long.

Successful day yesterday. We rope dropped HS and closed up Epcot.
  • FP+ TOT 9:10am
  • FP+ Toy Story 10:10
  • FP+ Star Tours 11:10
  • Pulled FP for Living with land 12:40-stand by was 90 minutes when we got there
  • Pulled FP for FEA at 7:20- already had one for later on my extras, only reason I grabbed it.
  • Extra FP Soarin 2:00
  • Extra FP Test Track 3:00
  • Extra FP FEA 5:00- After riding the other FP+ FEA was still active on my MDE
  • Pulled FP for Test Track 7:20 and dropped FEA
  • Watched Illumatinons from Germany, got there about 20 minutes before 9. Once it started there were about 20 people there, one bench and 2 cocktail tables. Zero wind view was good.

This is the area about 15 minutes after illuminations.

Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom and we do have FOP twice, I feel confident that there will be no issues.

Thanks for reporting in, Chef Louis! :thumbsup2

Also, thanks for confirming that each FP has its own coding in the system and that duplicating FPs using your regular FPs is fine to do.

Have a great AK day tomorrow!
