Is there anything else there for children at the ranch besides the pony rides? Any other activiesfor kids at Ft. Wilderness. Also, how does one go about renting a golf cart? Can you do it in advance or is it first come first serve? How much is it and how many people do they hold? I am interested in seeing all the Christmas decorations and the sleigh ride I was able to book is a little later than I would like. Sorry for all the questions, but I know you are the people with all the answers. Thanks!

If you want to rent a disney cart for this christmas. You better start calling now. Disney carts rent for 63 and change per day. You can also rent from some offsite rental companies.

Try this post to see the info on offsite rentals.
You have to pay them upfront but i haven't heard of anyone getting ripped off.
If you want to loop and see the decorations i would recommend a golf cart.

Also not much to do at TRI-D but pony rides. you can go through the barn and look at the real horses.

anyway enjoy your trip and hope this helps a little.

I am sure others will chime in with more info.

The lifeguards have activities at the pool, I believe the schedule is in the Fort News they give you, it is also posted at the Comfort Stations.

I have to tell a very quick story about my experience with this:

Laying out by the pool, the lifeguard in charge of activity that day came out and yelled 'Activity starting at the Meadows Pool, here under the breezeway.' Something to that effect, repeating this several times.
It was the way he said it, sounded like a drill sergeant!:lmao:
The other lifeguard was right in front of me, I asked him if it sounded like 'you will have fun, you will enjoy this activity, you will take this macaroni necklace back to your parents and they will cherish it! Hoorah!'
The lifeguard busted out laughing, he said that did sound like being in the Marines didn't it?
Kinda had to be there but thought I'd share.:thumbsup2

No disrespect ,, but if you search a little on the web you can find tons of stuff at and about the Fort for kids to do.
The age of the kids have a lot to do with whats available for the ages.
