TRex Updates

Anyone have any updates on the new TRex restaurant at DTD? Has anyone been there in the past week and seen the progress? Has anyone heard of a possible opening date?

We are going in Dec and hoping to eat there. Any updates greatly appreciated.

I wrote to Landry, the company that owns both TRex and Rainforest Cafe asking about using my Safari Club card there or if TRex would have simliar, and asking some other questions.

They do not have a Safari Club program, and my card isn't good at TRex either. They won't be taking reservations until at least January 2009, only walk ups. They gave me information about the menu, but it's the same menu as Kansas City, so you can go to their website (trexcafe.com) and see it. And it's extremely similiar to Rainforest Cafe, even the "signature" dessert which at RFC is called a Volcano, but the same brownie and ice cream at TRex is Chocolate Extinction.

As for an opening date....the email said "mid-October" but I have seen the date October 14 mentioned on some websites that are generally deemed reliable. Of course, it is all open for speculation until the first guest is seated!

I seriously doubt it, as the Rainforest Cafe' is not included on the DDP, but only time will tell.
