Trees in the WP

Has anyone had the potted trees in the WP removed for their ceremony? I asked my floral planner if they could be taken out, and she said no and immediately moved on to another topic. I am extremely disappointed to hear this because it seems silly to spend money on nice decorations when those ugly trees are lurking oddly in the background. Has anyone ever covered them up somehow? I guess I'm a little irked because I don't believe that when they have couture weddings they leave those trees in (so I feel like it is possible).

I had to go back and look at my pictures of my wedding in the WP, because I didn't know what trees you were referring to. And there they are on the sides! Guess I paid a lot of attention, huh?

I would ask your planner as to why they can't be removed. I know I wanted the altar moved because I didn't want to use it or put floral on it and my planner said it's too heavy to shift around. Which, as it turned out was fine, because we were all standing in front of it, blocking it anyway.

So, find out why they can't be moved, and then if not, ask her what alternatives there may be to block them. Also maybe check some other WP brides' TRs and PJs to see what they did to block them. Hopefully there are some solutions there for you that will get those trees out of your view.

ask if they can be moved instead of taken out completely. i know i've seen pictures without them there. i also asked if the alter could be taken down for a clearer view of the castle, and i was told it can be moved, but not taken out.

I can't remember the trees either

I suppose they're like the birds in the Whitehall room, some people pay money to make sure you can't see them, but if you don't no one notices them anyway...

I was thinking the same thing - I was all worried about the birds because everyone had talked about how terrible they were. It was the first thing I wanted to see when I went to the WHR, but once I saw them, they really weren't a big deal and no one noticed them at all.

Ok, so I was just in the WHR twice last week..... and I never noticed any birds.

Guess that means I should stop worrying about the trees!

Hi Andrea, look by windows on the left side in this picture, it's a little potted tree

I had always planned to have them removed, I didn't realize it would be a problem. I really don't understand why they're there, they don't look very "victorian" to me. I guess no one really notices them in the end.

wow, I never noticed the trees before either. And i've been there 3 times! I say ask and ask again if it really bothers you. If not, most people won't notice them!

I will also have to look for those birds

We had no trees and no funky houseplant in any of our pictures. There were however some unfortunate silk flower arrangements in the rear of the room but I chose to ignore them.


As a person who embraced the "crazy birds" they can move those trees. line I said, no trees or plants inside in my pics and I didnt request no trees....

Yeah I've got a few pics of the silk flower arrangments, but none of the trees...

Oooh please let me know what they say about the trees! I am trying to chill out about them, but I really don't want them there if they don't have to be.
