I think it may be a lttle tricky to do this, but not impossible. You are only allowed one (in or out) transfer per membership per use year. So you couldn't take 2 transfers in the same use year. But I think you could have one friend tranfer in to your membership in one use year and then when your use year changes, get the second friend to transfer their points to you.

First time I've seen wife happy about SSR! Just waiting on a point chart to book it. Now really glad we bought into SSR!

I always thought I bought my SSR contract as "generic" 2054 points.
Now I actually will find a reason to use my 11 month window!

Yes--we bought on the resale market thinking "generic" too, liked having the 2054 date but didn't want to pay the extra for AKV--and now we're so glad that the 11 month window will actually give us an advantage!

I'm very excited about this; however, I wouldn't go as far as calling it a free gift. We will be paying more in monthly dues for the refurbishment of these villas.

Hmmm...of course there had to be a downside...will we be seeing the increase in 2009 and what do people think it might be?

The BLT will be available in Sept 2009, The modular treehouses are going to be ready sooner and will be ready in "summer 2009" as soon as June.

How awesome! We were thinking of possibly adding on at BLT, but now we may just add on at SSR. I would LOVE to stay in THV!!! How cool!!! Yea for SSR owners!!

Maintenance fees have gone up every year since SSR openend!

I've seen on other threads that MF usually increases 3.5-4% each year (avg for all resorts combined) . Also, MF cannot be increased by more than 5% (I think) in any year without owner approval. So we shoudn't expect any kind of outrageous increase, just the normal increase we see each year anyway!

We are so excited about the Treehouse Villas. My kids think they look "really cool".
We love everything about SSR. Now, we have even more to love.

Count me in as another happy SSR owner! I'll take THV over BLT any day! I hope they release the point charts soon so I can figure out how many points I need to add-on.

We'll be there for 5 days at the end of August and were disappointed to think we were missing them just a week. We'd already decided to do a kid-friendly split stay, AKL for the animals and BCV for Stormalong Bay--so now what do we do? Decisions, decisions--still it's fun to have options!

But, I love having options so giving us another choice of resort theme and accommodations is very welcome.

Actually, the refurbishment and construction should be covered by the initial buy-in. These are additional points now available to additional members. It may, in fact, lower our MF's depending on how many additional points are released.

We are in the same boat....we want to stay at AKV for our first stay and then move to BCV but now with the possibility of staying in a treehouse....we might just have to do a 3 way split.
