Hello we are going in May staying in the THV- 4 adults 4 kids (16,12,12,9)- can you tell me if we should bring blow up beds to accomodate more comfortable sleeping for the kids? I know the living room has beds but perhaps there's room on the floor in the bunk bed room. Anyone been there recently and have any input or suggestions? I am alittle worried about bugs but looking forward to the large deck and the grill.

You have two bedrooms with queen sized beds in them. The third bedroom has the bunk beds. There is a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room and a twin sized sleeper chair in the living room.

We spent a week at THV in September....absolute heaven.

We didn't use either sleeper but from reports they are comfortable. There are enough beds for every child in your group to have their own so if it were me, I wouldn't bother with blow up beds. I think it would be tight in the bunk bed room anyway.

Bugs were not an issue at all for us. There are downlights (don't know the correct term) on the steps and the perimeter of the deck so we didn't leave the light by the door on. I can imagine that might attract bugs.

Enjoy THV....we absolutely loved staying there!

Yes, you must take a bus to SSR and then transfer to a park bus. You could also walk to the Grandstand and catch a bus there. Third and slowest option would be to take a boat to SSR or DTD to catch a bus.

I just ran across pictures yesterday showing Birds of Prey Dave's nephew laying on the bunk bed. The boy was 5'10" and he barely fit. He also tried out the pull out chair and liked it. Dave also set up a pack 'n play at the end of the bunk beds to see if there'd be room for an air mattress. And it looked like there'd be room for a twin air mattress.

If you are trying to get all four kids into one room (w/ bunk beds) I don't think it's going to work.

We loved THV!! The sleeper sofa is SUPER comfortable!! 2 kids will sleep comfortably there!! There are only 2 bathrooms though....and one is IN the master bedroom...I don't think I would stay there with that many...too cramped, but that's me!! We stayed at THV with 3 adults!!!

We were four adults staying the week of Labor Day and absolutely LOVED THV!
My adult DD slept in the bunk bed and said it was VERY comfy. I don't think you'll need blow-up beds, that would make it tight anyway. I never saw ONE BUG the whole time we were there. You will love it! Have a blast!

Actually, THV is SSR, so you are taking a bus from the THV section of SSR to the Grandstand section of SSR. You'll get a bus to a theme park at the Grandstand bus stop, which is usually the first stop for any bus arriving at SSR.

Was that your experience at THV?

We've only spent one week at THV and only used the buses for return trips from the parks. But according to the info at checkin, the buses from THV to SSR go to the stop at the Springs. After 11 am, those buses also stop at the Grandstand area before returning to THV.

As for mobility issues - I rented a scooter during our stay there in August. I requested (when I made the reservation) a unit "near the walking path because I would be using a scooter and wanted to avoid the 2-bus situation." When we checked in they told us our unit number and showed it to us on the map - it was at the mouth of the walking path We couldn't have gotten any closer without pitching a tent on the golf course. We did not have a handicap unit. I don't need one, I parked my scooter under the treehouse, plugged it in under there each night covering it with a mower cover. We brought the cover with us thinking we would protect it from rain, but the treehouse is so wide no rain ever got that far under. We walked (I rolled) to the Grandstand bus stop. It is the first stop the buses come to (except for Downtown Disney route) so if we were there early enough in the day I didn't have to struggle with loading the scooter with a full bus.

As for space. We were 6 - 2 adults and 4 children - the "children" were 15, 16, 19 & 20. 20 slept in the 2nd Queen bed, 19 slept in the living room on the pull out chair (and said it was comfortable) 15 & 16 were in the bunkbeds. Nobody used the pull out sofa. The 4 of them used the 2nd bathroom.

My biggest complaint was the washer and dryer. It is in the hall with the other 2 bedrooms and the 2nd bathroom so it is very congested. If you have the laundry closet doors open it is hard for anyone to get in our out of any of the other rooms.

Would I stay there again???? Absolutely!
