Treehouse Villas

Looking for opinions of the Treehouse Villas - I know the Dis reviews of them were not great. My next trip to WDW will likely be either with a group of family members who have never been to WDW, or with a bunch of friends who are on a budget. Either way, we'd like to each have our own beds, but still have a common meeting area. I haven't really decided what would be the best option for our group, but I've always been curious about the Treehouse Villas. My biggest concern is the location, although lately we've been renting cars whenever we go to Disney to avoid using the WDW transportation, so the location may not be such an issue. Thoughts?

I think if you are renting a car then SSR will be fine. Remember you can still get the boat to DTD.

The THV will have two queen beds, a set of bunk beds (not for tall people), one queen sized sleeper sofa and one twin sized sleeper chair. The master bedroom has one queen bed, the second bedroom has the other, and the third bedroom has the bunks. All three bedrooms are rather small. The sleeper sofa and sleeper chair are in the living room. There are only two bedrooms.

You will have one parking place at the THV. Any other vehicles will need to be parked at the Grandstand which is a short walk from the THV. There is a bus that picks up and delivers to the THV and goes to Grandstand or Springs bus stop (depending on the time of day).

My family of four stayed there last August and we loved them!! We did have a car though and I don't know if I would stay without a car. They are very quiet and relaxing. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
