Does anybody have the points chart for these Villas, and when are they expected to be available?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the points were the same as an SSR GV.

Actually, they're the same as SSR 2-bedroom.

As noted, THV points are the same as SSR 2BR villas. They will open on June 1, 2009 ad reservations will be accepted beginning on February 8 for SSR owners and 2 weeks later for other DVC owners.

THVs will sleep nine. They have 3BRs, with a queen bed in the master BR and bunk beds in one of the bedrooms.

Does anybody know if there is a category for The Treehouse Villas that counts as an official reservation category? I am assuming we can express a preference, but is there an actual category (like "BW standard") that we can reserve?

Yes it is a separate category. It has it's own column in the 2009 SSR points chart which is identical to the 2Br points values.

Yes, since THV is part of SSR, owners at that resort can enjoy the 11 month reservation priority. Other owners won't be able to reserve those villas until 7 months prior to arrival.

Since there are only 60 THVs, I'd expect that availability will be a challenge within 7 months, especially at the more popular times of the year.

I am an owner at SSR, and I am eager to stay at the THV, but I want to see the details of transportation too. How will the buses work, how can I get to the main pool/store/restraunts, etc.

I recently called member services and they told me that there will be a path that comes out by the Grandstand, so you will have to walk to the store and restaurant. I think the CM said they would have their own pool and bus stop though.

If it runs like they did before when they were part of Disney Institute the buses went to the THV first and then the main resort.

If the THV are three bedrooms wouldn't they be same number of points as the grand villas, not the 2 bedroom.

There are two bedrooms that each only have 1 Q bed in it. The treehouses sleep 9, not 12 or 13, and so they accomodate the same number as the newer 2 bedrooms.
