Treehouse Villas Pictures

Thanks for the pics, the THV are way cool! Hopefully I can snag a couple of nights in Nov 2009.

Is it Fall 08 or Summer 09? I thought the original timeline was June 09?

Thanks to both Bill and Jim for the photos. :)

Minor correction - THV will open on June 1, 2009! Reservations will begin on February 8, 2009 for SSR owners and 2 weeks later for other DVC members.

You're correct Doc. When I said Fall 2009 I must have had the opening for BLT stuck in my head..., currently scheduled for Fall 2009.

The THV are to open June 1, 2009. I have edited my original post to correct the error.

Thanks for the photos!!! I have some questions....
Will they have their own restaraunts or quick food services?
Has anyone seen the artist renditions of the pool?
Will there be any recreation?

Thanks!

Thanks for posting!! Wasn't the original date to start making ressies Feb 1st for June 1st?

You know I think I would really like to stay in one of the THV, however having lived in a rural area before near the water all I can think is "I don't like spiders and snakes" and sometimes opposums and racoons. But hopefully being elevated above the ground will discourage criters.

COOL.

These'll take all the reservation demand away from BCV and BLT

I wonder how difficult it will be to get these at 11 months, not to mention 7.popcorn::

Thanks for sharing these wonderful pics. Looks like things are coming along nicely. :goodvibes

I was just sitting here reading over the posts to see if I had missed anything and I saw this. This is pretty interesting and ressies will be quicker than I realized. We would love to stay in one of them sometime. Maybe one right on the water.

Thanks for the pics. Even though THV will be part of SSR, it will seem like it is a DVC resort all by itself. That's what I like about it.:goodvibes

With the amount of Villas they will have, I would say booking at the 7 month window will be pretty much non existent. If anything is available at the 7 month mark, you can bet it will be gone within a day.

We all thought that for AKV concierge, too. With only 5 two bedroom units, they are even more exclusive than the treehouses. Yet people are able to book them at the 7 month mark and sometimes less.

That might be because concierge requires so many points...those of us who are point challenged and have to be frugal with our points would never be able to afford them...:confused3 Concierge would just never be on our radar because it's so "expensive". (Just a thought...) The THV's will be popular because the points required will be reasonable.

I think the jury is still out on AKV Concierge availability and will be until it is closer to being sold out. Now is the time to try concierge because it is a huge draw for people purchasing.

I think the THV availability will be completely different as they are being added to a sold out resort with established members that have had opportunity to stay several times in all the available units.

It will also be the only guaranteed category of SSR. I'd rather know what Im getting, than take my chances of booking a 2bed and ending up in the Carousel.

IMHO, they will go first before anything else at SSR, because SSR does not have booking categories like some of the other resorts which helps spread the points around.

Thanks for the great pics. We have passed the Treehouse villias so many times while riding the boats from Port Orleans. It's great that we will be able to stay there in the future.

I'm not really sure about how "in demand" they will be yet. I can't wait to book on the 11 month advantage, but I also love the other rooms at SSR too so I'll switch back and forth and continue to want to try out all the other DVC resorts too! As for the pics, I'm so happy to see the updated images! Thanks for posting! I'm itching to see the finished product and can't wait to book in January for my December trip and may try to switch over to THV in Feb. when booking is started for them. The one on the water is going to be a pretty common request I bet! I can see it now - everyone trying to get to checkin early enough to get the request before all the villas on the water are full - :rotfl: then we'll have people wanting a category within a category, :lmao: !
