We currently have reservations at AKL Kidani Village, our home resort. We are going to try to get a treehouse villa when the 7 month window opens up but I just read that they are quite a bit smaller. There will be 9 people in our group. Just curious as to how they are. The model looked awesome!

Can I get a little input? Please!

Check out this thread. Stopher1 is currently there and has some pics of Kidani and Treehouse.

They are wonderful. We had #7026 with a wonderful water view. :goodvibes

I bought more points because of staying in a THV last August. So I guess you could say I loved them.

Another THV lover. Loved out first stay so much that we booked another on a cash reservation when we couldn't get it on points.

The bedrooms are small but designed well. The living room and kitchen are spacious. There is lots of storage.

The attention to detail is WDI at its best IMO. :wizard:

Pay no attention to the date on the pics. I misplaced my good camera :headache: so I purchased a cheap point and shoot so I would have a camera on my trip. It didn't come with an instruction manual and I don't know how to change the date.

villa next to ours taken from the bottom of our stairs (looks closer than it is in this pic you're not really on top of each other like it seems) ETA: now that I'm looking at this I think our stairs are up a bit. The stairways aren't right across from each other.

View from our front door into the villa. The door to the master bedroom is just visable behind that post that is on the end of the kitchen island. That chair and a half opens up into a bed but when it's open it goes right across the doorway to the master bedroom. There's just enough room to get out of there and head into the kitchen area. Make sure whoever sleeps there is an early riser ;)

You are going to give up the third bathroom at Kidani to get THV. Also, no king sized bed, one queen, two bunks, one queen sleeper and one twin sleeper. The bunks may not be suitable for adults, depends on how tall they are. Do you have kids or adults who would have to sleep in the bunks?

She is so goofy looking. She's kind of big like you would expect a lab puppy to be but then she has these little short stubby legs lol. I also have a Dachshund/Poodle mix and they look hysterical running around the house with their short little legs.

Thanks again! There will be 2 families going. The parents get the bedrooms with the Queen size beds. The girls will get the bunk beds. And the boys will get the foldout sofa/chair. They will all be 11 and under so height is not an issue for bunks. Who knows, we might not get teh THV but we would be fine staying at AKL KV. I just know I'm already exicted to go back and we've only been home 19 days!!!

Thank you for those wonderful pictures. It really took me back to when we stayed there in Sept. for my birthday. What a wonderful place. :cloud9:

Is the computer access in the master bedroom the only one available in the THV unit, or is there more than one?

Also, does the user get kicked off the internet after several minutes? The last time we were at WDW, the user would be required to log-on several times during the same session.

TIA

TinkrLiz,

Great photos, by the way -- thanks for posting them. Did you have a handicap-accessible room? The tub in the master bath and the railing at the foot of the stairs kind of suggest that. We'll be staying at THV next week and I'd love to have a hand-held shower head if we could get one.

Very cute puppy, too. Bless your heart for participating in rescue.
