The Boston family and we spent just 1 night in one, and we're hankering for more! We had a beautiful golf course view and ours was convenient for the pool and the path that led to the main part of the resort. It's going to be awile before we can stay in one again, I'm out of SSR points until the 2012 batch, but we booked another DCL cruise in August of that year, and that time, we hope to stay for at least 4 days prior to the cruise.

The particular unit!

View from the deck!

We had a great one day stay, and one of the nicest things was that the treehouse was ready when I arrived. I just had to wait for the family to arrive. They came down on the Auto-train, and when they picked me up at 11AM I was able to direct them directly to our villa. We were all so excited.

We all enjoyed the grandstand pool as well as the main pool. We liked the boat ride to DTD where some went up in the tethered balloon! Everyone found something to like at Artist Palette. I only wished I hadn't left my TIW card in the treehouse. I was told that it's honored there. I'll have it the next time!

I am so glad you enjoyed the tree house. I have not been there yet but we made plans to stay there 4 days before our 5 day cruise on the Dream in June.
I was not sure how we would like the tree houses so I thought it would be a good chance to try it before the cruise. There will be 9 of us so I hope we will not feel too crowded. I am looking forward to it now as I have been hearing so many good things about the Tree houses. :lovestruc

We are staying there for a week in June for the first time. Do you have any suggestions for a location request? We will have a car.

Thanks

We had made no requests since it was such a short stay. There were 7 of us 4 adults, 3 kids. Our unit was very near the treehouse pool. It was suggested that if we were too close to the canal we would hear the boat horns. I do not know if this would be true. As it was, the bus passed nearby, but it never was a noise that bothered any of us, and it didn't disturb our sleep.

I'm glad you liked the treehouse!

We like them too. It will be a while before we're back to one, though. So many places to try!

Love to hear good things about THV. We're trying them for the first time in March. Can't wait!:cool1:

Oh yay, I'm so glad you liked it. We love the treehouses & can't wait to stay again in fall 2011.

I just had a 7 night stay in one and can't wait to go back. We had between 2 and 5 people over the 7 nights and never felt cramped (I know--we were decadent). We had a handicapped unit because of my scooter--unit 7048 (7047 is also HA). It was just beautiful and peaceful. Taking two busses--especially with a scooter--was bit of a pain but worth it in the end.

We are staying our last three nights at Universal's Portofino Bay and I want my THV back!

We had a few maintenance issues but once we called they were all promptly addressed. The boat was great and I do think if you were close to the canal you would hear the horns but I believe they stop running at 11:30 pm. We did here and FEEL the buses--sometimes you could feel the villa vibrate when they went by. The bus drivers were very friendly-- I think the ones servicing THV are lonely because they all wanted to chat!

As long as I have help, I'm doing steps, but I would like some information about the HA units. Are both of the bathrooms HA? IF not, which one is, main or other. Thank you.

We are staying 7 nights pre-Dream 5-nt cruise in August:woohoo:
We start with 2 adults and 3 kids for first three nights and the remainder we add on 3 more adults and 1 child.

We stayed at THV 10/24 to 10/31. We had a blast. We asked for a water view of the river and the boats, they assigned us a pool view. I called the front desk, and they said they would move us to a villa near the boat dock. I said OK and a CM came by about 20 minutes later with new keys, and we moved. We were next to the boat dock, but since the villas were surrounded by trees, you had to look thru the trees in the living room to see the partial dock. This pleased us, and we used the boat twice, once to go to DTD for dinner at House of Blues. One evening we took the boat to SSR to eat at the Turf Club. We could hear the boat horns but they were not a bother. We had a rental car, but two evenings the older adults took the bus back while the younger adults stayed until park closing. The bus exchange to the internal bus was not bad. There was usually a bus waiting to go to the THV when we got off at the first SSR stop. We enjoyed the THV and pleased that our friend got the reservation at 11 months out.
