Friday 8th April
Up earlyish and out to Animal Kingdom. The plan today is to mop up all the things we did not do when we came last week and to get some more character photos. We get fastpasses for the safari and go in seach of characters. The first are Lilo and Stitch so just have to queue to get a photo
Then we see Flick
We are very lucky today and even get Baloo and King Louie
We bump into Devine
We make our way to the Safari and is as good fun as ever
We get fastpasses for the river rapid ride and start making our way over to Nemo the musical.
This a first for all of us. Me and Kirsty thought it was brilliant and better than the Festival of the Lion King but the others preferred the Lion King show.
I shed a tear at the end and off we went on the wonderfully underrated dinosaur which always seems to be a walk on.
We are now ready to go on the Kalia River Rapids. Once again this ride never fails to make us all laugh. I put my spare dress on and we are ready to leave the park. We go off to the shops to get some supplies as we are going to have lunch at the Treehouse. We have a brilliant afternoon lazing about on the terrace, we have cocktails, wine and eat loads
It is so nice on the terrace we bring the bench out and put on the ipod and also manage to pick up Absolute and listen to some 80s and 90s music. It gets hot and the kids and some of the adults go for a swim.
I can't resist facebooking on the ipad
We are by now a little tipsy and get ready to go out to Downtown Disney. We take the boat and the captain Megan, Jack and Kirsty some pirate scarves
Our stay at the Treehouse has been all the more special because of the boat going to downtown disney and especially the lovely captains who are always so friendly and knowledgeable.
We head over to Marketplace to visit all the shops. I make sure we visit TrenD but this year did not buy anything.
We go to the Christmas shop and Mark allows us to buy yet another Christmas bauble for our tree (I will get my Disney tree yet even if it takes 50 years!!)
We go into Team Mickey and Kirsty and Jack cant resist trying on these
As we ate so much at lunchtime we did not have a big dinner tonight and everyone fancies fish and chips from Cookes. All excpet me and Kirsty so we go off to Earl of Sandwich and get an amazing tuna melt. We meet up with the others at Cooks. We finish up and catch the boat back to the Treehouse where Lisa makes up some Irish coffees before we go to bed.
