Tell me more about Tree of Life Awakenings at AK.

It sounds like it is more of an ongoing thing, that occurs on a repeating cycle beginning at nightfall, rather than a single showtime that guests gather for. Is that accurate?

What are the best practices for experiencing this spectacle? Where do you need to be to get a good view? Anything other tips?

We watched it from the entry to Discovery Island, just in front of the tree.
It runs for about 5 minutes, every 15 minutes or so. There are several different shows that play on the tree. Think the laser mapping on the castle during HEA, except on the tree. Done very well.

It runs about every 15 mins or so after dark. We watched from discovery island across from island mercantile. Loved it! It’s beautiful. No real story line, just different animals coming to life for a brief moment, but it’s a must-do for us.

So if the park closes at 8 and RoL is at 8:15, will there still be tree awakenings as we leave the park from RoL?

I think so. I seem to remember it still going as we were leaving the park at closing in early December.

It was going on when we left the park in October after RoL. After RoL, we went to FoP and rode. As we walked out of the park, Tree awakenings was still going.
