I'm planning on traveling solo for Princess marathon Weekend and I wanted to do something special for my self.

What do you treat your self to as a solo traveler?

Depends on when you want to.

Maybe a mani/pedi after the race? Massage? Nice dinner? A tour?

If it where me(and money is relatively not an issue) I would either do a massage( my legs HURT after last years princess), or a tour, with nice dinner coming in 3rd place

depends upon how silly you want - agree with massage had it done third times - they are great and really helps the body to recover.

silly is going to a character breakfast - I like the one at the BC - it was goofy's (silly) beach blast - not sure what it is now.

I have been thinking about either trying tea at GF or breakfast/lunch ADR at TH. It's a toss-up.

I went to tea solo last January when I flew out two days before the rest of my travel party to get ahead of a blizzard. It was very very nice. The solo woman at the table next to me was so close that it was just like having tea for two and we talked like a couple of school girls. She was alone just for tea because her husband wasn't interested and he stayed back at their room. Anyway, Yes! Afternoon Tea is great. Be sure to get a reservation. When you're looking for it in the list of restaurants it starts with the word Afternoon.

I've done the tea in the past and it's a great way to spend a couple of hours. Bring a book and enjoy! This year I am enjoying a signature meal and one of the dessert parties.

When I do the races solo I usually treat myself to new shoes (Disney New Balance) or some other merchandise from the race expo. I also might enjoy a nice big meal after the race since I burned all those calories. During my other color trips I might enjoy a nice dinner or do a tour. Enjoy your race.

Nit-picky here, but it's Princess HALF Marathon weekend. runDisney does ONE Marathon and it's in January (and yes, you will be mocked by runners for calling anything less than 26.2 miles a "marathon"). Just sparing you that faux-pas. :)

That said, my thing on race weekends is a character breakfast the morning after the race. I've also bought a sketch in one of the Art of Disney stores and had it personalized. Given New Balance's new ad campaign which was less than encouraging to "everyday runners" it will be interesting to see how long their relationship with runDisney lasts. Yes, they changed it slightly but only after a social media ----storm when the original version went live.
