If I were in NY, I’d find a place that allows viewing the ship as it sails in (and/or out). Docked at Chelsea Pier seems like a little more tucked in.How exciting! Do you (or anyone?) know how the public gets a view? Best places to stand? When to arrive?

I work in Lower Manhattan so I get to see a lot of ships docked in and going out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. It's always a treat to see the QM2. I'll have to get uptown for this one. When I used to work in Jersey City, right on the water, it was a great spot to watch the ships going out (I sure as hell wasn't in the office early enough to watch them come in). Probably the only thing I miss about working in Jersey City. Since I'm in midtown Manhattan now, I'll have to try to get over to the pier to get a peek.
I’m curious to know what the Treasure will be doing for the weeks between its Christening and its MV. We are currently set to be in WDW the end of Nov (and on the Dream over thanksgiving)— if there’s any chance of a preview sailing I want to jump on that.
I know someone on the 7 day preview cruise over Thanksgiving and was told it is “sold out” so they probably offered it to CMs and others as already mentioned. Definitely not to the general public.I’m curious to know what the Treasure will be doing for the weeks between its Christening and its MV. Most likely exposure. They did the same with the FantasyDoes anyone know why the christening is in NY? Just wondering why it wouldn't be in Port Canaveral?
Just curious if Disney paid for this person to fly out/hotel etc... or is it just an invite to the event? Sounds fun can't wait to see the live stream tomorrow! The rumors were true!! Invites went out recently for the Christening of the Treasure in NYC on November 19-20th. So excited. Hope to be able to go down there and take some pics of her either docked or in the Harbor.

Nope, it's just visiting this week. It will be based out of Port Canaveral for the time being. Is the Treasure going to be based out of NYC? That would be really nice to be able to pop into the city or Brooklyn, even Jersey instead of having to fly down to Florida. It would also be nice for Disney to do a Bermuda cruise again.
