Treadmill question

My treadmill just died...I purchased it in August of 2007. I use it almost daily. Right away I noticed the fan wasn't working, then after about a minute the lights shut off and there was a burning smell. So, should I pay to have it fixed or buy a new one?? I think I paid around $575 for it. Thanks!
