I bought a ProForm Treadmill from Sears back in November, and then didn't use it.
It was right before our WDW trip, then it was Christmas, yada yada yada (excuses, excuses...I know). When I finally got on it, it slowed down and sped up unexpectedly. On day 89 of my 90 day warranty, I called Sears, and to make a long story short, a technician has come here TWICE, and it's still not right, and ANOTHER one is coming on Monday. Tried using it today, setting it to walk at a speed of 4.0, and it varied from 3.5 to 4.7! I can't DO walking at 4.7, and besides that, I don't WANT to!
Both technicians told me that it would vary a few tenths of a mile (but agreed this difference was too much)...but why should it? I had an old treadmill that didn't do that for years...the speed stayed exactly where I set it...and it was after it started varying that we decided it was time to buy a new one!
I'm so sick over this...I hate putting out (DH's
) hard earned money for garbage. It cost $600, and I really didn't want to spend more than that...I'm not a runner, nor a jogger, and never will be...I just wanted to get some walking in at home for convenience or when the weather is bad.
Does anyone have a treadmill where the speed varies at all or does it stay pretty steady?
