I'm not sure if this is the right board ...

Can anyone rec me towards good travel insurance?
I want to see if I can get a decent insurance plan for the whole vacation (airfare + wdw + universal).

Thanks for any suggestions!

yikes -- sorry about the title typo!

Before you buy, sit down and actually figure out what your out of pocket expenses would be in cancelling, such as change fees for flights, hotel/car penalties, etc. Most insurance only covers your actual loss, if you get money back (ie. a 7 night stay might only have a 1 night penalty). You may find that the risk cost is low compared paying yearly insurance premiums.

Rule of insurance is you buy it for losses which would be catostrophic financially, for domestic travel (in the US), this rarely is the case.

That's a good point. I generally only get insurance for things with significant pre-paid/non-refundable costs: cruises, packages, etc.

I agree with the PPs above. I would go to www.insuremytrip.com for a start and usually end up with Travelex (Lite) as well, but I also only usually get it for cruises not land based vacations. You miss the ship you need to catch up. Your Disney hotel is not going anywhere.
