Has anyone used Travelscape to book hotel ressies in Orlando? What was your experience? I'm a little nervous about not being able to check ressies directly with the hotel (says it's in a block of rooms held by Travelscape). Please advise! I really hate to drive up, with 3 small children, after 9 hour drive, and have a problem with our reservation.

5 days 'til arrival!!!

I booked HRH through them for $159 a night. I had to cancel the reservation, though. They seem to have the cheapest rates on the Universal hotels. I recently got the PBH for $199 a night, so I will report on what happened at check-in.

I just booked a 4 night USF vacation last week for 6/21-6/25 through Travelscape...very easy and we already have the confirmation..this includes seat assignments on the plane(we did a package). I also made a phone call to the Sheraton Studio City to double check our reservation...all was well! All in all, it was one of the easiest vacations I've ever booked. I also got USF adult tickets(3) for $305.00...this included US mail shipping...received those too. We purchased those through Universal.

I haven't used them in Orlando but I did use them for flights and hotel in Montreal and everything was fine.

I've used them several times. I have also checked up on my reservations through the hotel right before arriving, give my Loews First or Hilton Honors #'s to the hotel so I get my benefits. I have never had a problem. They also have some great rates, I noticed while Loews told me HRH was sold out for June they still had rooms available at great rates.

I'll find out tomorrow! I used them and got a very good rate. I'll let you know!

Disney Debbie have a GREAT trip looking forward to your opinion of the HRH. Your posts have answered a lot of my questions.

I booked the HRH club room with them. They were very good. They charged me an extra $50 for the third person in the room but it was my child, so they immediately refunded the money. I got a confimatioon number from them which was the HRH number, so I had a confirmed res. Also, I used my Loews card and never had a problem, got all the benefits including a room upgrade and fruit basket.

Hi,
We used Travelscape for our trip in December and booked Embassy Suites ( Jamaican Court ) for the first two nights ($119nt.) because we wanted to be close to USF. We then booked the remainder of our trip for WDW with DisneyTravel.
I also tried to call Embassy Suites in advance to request a non-smoking room (as Travelscape doesn't guarantee it.) and I was told my ressies wouldn't show up in their system until a few days before I arrive when Travelscape releases the info.
I called again acouple days before and I requested a non-smoking room (asthma) and they made a note of it....Well...we arrived at 10:00pm and guess what? The only rooms left were smoking!!!
Great...after traveling all day from Seattle we had to raise hell with Travelscape on the phone to get them to cancel our ressies at Jamaican Ct and book us down the road at Embassy Suites (South) at a higher rate of $149.00 for the 1st night and they couldn't get us a room for the 2nd night.
So after waiting at the Embassy Suites (South) for over an hour for Travelsape to send them the info , as Travelsape had to credit our earlier ressies and reissue a new one for Embassy-South, we talked to the manager on duty and he gave us a rate of $99 for the second night!
We didn't get into our room until after 12:30am and then were up early for early entry!
WE did enjoy staying at Embassy Suites-South and it made up for Travelscapes poor way of reserving rooms.

Travelscape does match a price if you find a lower price.

Have a nice trip!

PS: WE used Priceline this year...We'll see how that compares come December...LOL!

Thanks everyone for the responses. I'm not gonna sweat it! I'll be on vacation, right?!! 2 days at UF/IOA, and 14 nights at WDW.

4 DAYS TO GO!!! :bounce: :pinkbounc :bounce: :pinkbounc :bounce:

COLOR=orangered]Sounds to me that Embassy was more at fault with the non-smoking room then Travelscape as they clearly state they Don't guarantee non-smoking, and you called Embassy about the porblem. I agree I hate smoking rooms and really can't understand why hotels can't guarantee a non-smoking room. Embassy really should have allowed you to switch to one of their many other hotels in the area at no extra charge.[/COLOR]
