Had this on the tip board and got 1 reply so...

I dont have either yet. My friend let me try her travelon messenger style bag. Is it me or does the strap seem to cut into the neck a little.
I figure if it does that when trying it on for a few seconds, how will I fill after 7 days.

Have polls been done on this already?

Thank you for the advice

I can't honestly tell you if the travelon bags I have are the messenger ones, but I love them. They are shaped to drape from one shoulder across your body and lay close to the body. The straps are adjustable and have never bothered me. There is a number of pockets and a pocket for the cell phone. They hold way more than they look like by their size. Also they hold up very well. I have been very happy with them and I have used them for quite a few trips at this point. I can't tell you anything about the bagallini bags though.

joining this thread, read so much about bagallinni but not about travelon:goodvibes

I have both bags and much prefer my travelon. The bagallini hurt my back so bad I could no longer use it (I don't have back problems other than when I use this bag) but I don't have back problems at all with my travelon. The travelon I have is smaller than the bagallini but that is good because then I won't bring more than I need but it fits everything I do need. I know many others love their bagallini I just didn't. The strap on the bagallini tends to get loose really quick and hang funny as well but the travelon doesn't so it sits good against the body. Maybe that is the reason I get back problems from it the bagallini. As for rubbing on the strap. I don't have problem with rubbing at all with either bag but if you get rubbing with the travelon you more than likely will with the bagallini as well. My son is now the proud owner of a bagallini. lol One thing I have learned from these lists is that everyone likes different things shoes, bags etc. for different reasons and I really don't think you will know what works for you unless you try each of them for a full day yourself. Also if you are a person that likes to take a lot of stuff to the park the bagallini is a bigger bag.

Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

I have a baggallini and I"m not too thrilled with it. I ended up just throwing it over my shoulder because, IMHO, the strap is too wide. The buckles also make the bag heavier than it needs to be.

I'm hoping Lesportsac comes out with something similar. Their bags are light as a feather when empty.

Hmmm, thanks for the replies so far guys!

I have about a month before my trip so I am not rushing into buying one just yet. DH will be the packmule on this trip;) , so I wont need it to carry any heavy stuff.

Thank you again!

I posted on your other post but thought I'd vote here too!

I have the Travelon slim-line messenger bag and used it for almost 2 weeks at WDW and it was great! It doesn't have the flap over the front so it's easier to access then the reg. Travelon Mess. bag. Plus it rests on the left shoulder and right hip..opposite of the regular one. I like that as I'm right handed! It's harder to find one to buy though-LOL!

I have both in several colors (I also have a small and a large Travelon).

I much prefer the Bagallinni. The Travelon tends to pull my shoulders forward (of course this depends on how much you put in it) and makes my back and shoulders hurt.

I also feel the bagallinni is more secure, since it zips and doesn;t have just a fold over piece.

The slim line messenger bag I have has NO flap..it's all zipper compartments and easy to reach into. It also has a zipper that goes around the sides and bottom of the bag...you unzip it when you need more room in the bag and rezip it when you want it to not be as roomy and wide from the front of the bag to the back.

I bought myself and MIL travelons for last Disney trip ( the ones that convert to fanny packs) and the magnet in the flop over piece constantly demagnetized our WDW cards! Just something to consider!

Last year when I used my travelon I put my room cards along with all my credit cards in the top zipper pocket right over the magnet and had no problems with any card. What pocket did you put your cards in? From what I have heard the magnets in purses are too weak to demagnetize cards. I actually use purses with magnets quite a bit and have never had my credit or debit card get demagnetized from any of them.

Now in 05 when I used my bagallini my card and only my card kept getting demagnetized by no fault of the bagallini. My son and husbands cards were always right there in the same holder (plastic holder around my neck) with mine and only mine would get demagnetized every time. The only thing to not work every time was the ticket portion to get into the parks and not the room key or charge privilages. The CM's kept saying it was other credit cards strip rubbing there strip on my card, or another excuse was my cell phone, another was getting near the magnets in the stores. I got a different reason from each CM and what a pain to wait in the concierge line every day coming back from the parks. My opinion and it is only an opinion based on my experience is that either some cards are weaker than others or they are not programed right or something to that effect. I still don't understand how only one privilage of one card, mine being park tickets, could be the only thing to not work day after day and for it to only effect one card of three, I just don't get it. :confused3

I have to say that I PURCHASED the BAggalini & have yet to use it, our trip is in Sept & I can tell you know that I WON"T be using, w/2 children (7,3) I know that it will be to small for me: 2 autograph books, 2 pens, maybe a change of clothes for each, sunscreen, water!!, snacks--that's not including my camera bag--I have 3 cameras coming-maybe 4!! I know that some people may love it-but I wish I got something BIGGER!! (DS can get messy, & if there is water around DD is GOING to be in it!!)

Have both. Travelon is sitting in my closet gathering dust. Not as roomy, it is fuzzy microfiber and shows dirt, and it's not as comfortable to wear IMO.
