Travelocity has special rate on Nick Hotel

A few days ago, I wrote a post about booking a stay at a Nick Hotel (for 1 night) and a Disney World Hotel (AKL) on same trip to Fl. For those who don't know - I just saw (and booked) on Travelocity's web site that for my date in August (Aug. 22nd) - they have a special at the Nick for $79 per night + resort fee and tax...this is a substantial savings off the Nick website's fee for this date. You might want to check it out.

Thanks a lot for the tip. I had a 7 day trip in June via Travelocity for 123 average + resort fee + taxes, that I have just cancelled (totaled $1,195.49 overall), and made a new one for $89 average + 25 Resort + Taxes (new total of $918.08).

You have just saved me 252.41 USD with this information, once you take into consideration the 25 USD cancelation fee.

There were five days at 79 USD and two weekend days at 114.

Tira -I am glad you saved some money and $25 cancellation fee is not too bad. I only saved about $65 - $70 but that's because I am going just 1 night. When you canceled and rebooked did you do it online or did you have to call Travelocity?

My first reservation was also with Travelocity. I just called to make sure of the cancellation policy (only 25 USD). I didn't cancel at that point.

Then I booked online the new-cheaper reservation to make sure I wouldn't end up with nothing, as I thought my first rate was a good one and still much lower of other sites and the official pricing on nickhotel.com.

Once my second reservation went through, I cancelled the first one, also online.
