As prev discussed in previous threads the prices for DLP this year seem to be through the roof especially after the really good deal we had for xmas 09 with the free meals, apart from the snow was a really cold but good trip!

We want to travel this year late nov and earlier we book more time we have to save but with prices not out yet and comparing to what was on last year etc we've decided prob not going to get a good ad deal going direct so have found local coach company doing.....

SUN-WED

2 Full days in park
Santa Fe £219 A £119 C Under 3 Free unless seat wanted £69
Sequioa Lodge £279 A Rest same as above

Do you think it's worth paying the extra for SL, we've been 6 times now and always stayed in the SF OR Cheyene

The SL is magical at Christmas so i personally would pay the extra, DH and i stayed there early December 2002...back when we were newly in love :lovestruc and had a lovely time, we also traveled by coach then, (my parents had got me the trip as one of my 18th birthday presents).

Have a wonderful time whatever you choose! :lovestruc

Thanks for your reply, i think we might consider upgrading to the SL, we also have a few children in the party aged for 5mths/20mths/4years you think they will be ok on the coach?

Thanks again

November's prices aren't out yet for DLP, what percentage discount on the price for early November (which is available to price) would you need do you think to compare with the total price you'd pay on the coach? I'm just thinking it would be a very long journey wouldn't it.
Could you pool cars and drive instead?

There were children on the coach, the journey there was fine, i think the excitement kept everyone happy, the journey home wasn't as great if i'm honest, but i have to say my boys are grizzly in the car when we leave, i don't think it's the mode of transport it's just the leaving! :rotfl2:

If i were going by coach again i would take the portable dvd, lots of little new things they haven't seen before, books, little cars, coloring etc and do a grab bag, hopefully the 2 really little ones will sleep lots and the 4yo will be kept occupied :goodvibes

It's a long way to go with a little one on your lap. What about hiring a minibus as a group and going? That way the kids can have their own carseat and hopefully sleep!

Weve been by coach 3 times and we leave home 5.30-6am and never get to our hotel before 11pm. This is going on ferry with the coach. My dd was 2 and 3 on the coach holidays and she was fine we took loads of things for her to do on the coach. Only thing is she was asking are we there yet then when we got there she was disappointed as it was straight to bed.

However, we took our nephew same age as dd and he got very bored so guess it depends on the child.

You will need a car seat even for babies on the coach as this is the law in france (according to leger holidays)

Thanks your all your replied, really considering the idea of hiring a mini bus now as there is going to be at least 12 of us, do anyone no wheen the prices for Nov are going to be released?

Just to add that it is a long journey, we've been twice by coach from South Wales, Newport and Cwmbran, 7.00 and 6.00 am departures, both times we arrived around midnight. There is a lot of hanging around at Dover and I probably wouldn't do it again, but I have to admit it is a hassle free way to travel, we went with Leger and I couldn't fault them, once we handed our luggage over to them, we didn't see it again until we checked into the hotel. :)

Thanks for your reply's, still thinking of booking via coach seems the cheapest way to travel to the land of magic this year!! it is long day but worth it x:rotfl2:
