Ahoy Everyone! pirate:

Are there any Airlines / Hotels that allow single travelers under the age of 18 fly and stay without the need of an adult aged 18 or over? A family friends son is wanting to visit Orlando either by himself or with his friend  . If this is not an option is it possible to book for someone who will be turning 18 before departure? :wizard:

Many Thanks!

Most package holidays will allow a group of under 18's as long as they have written consent from a parent/guardian as for scheduled aircraft as long as the passenger is over 12 they are classed as an adult anyway. (If they're under 12 they are an 'unaccompanied minor') If the passenger is nervous you can book a meet and greet service and notify the airline that the passenger is, say, 16. There are hundreds of children travelling by themselves all over the world regularly so no one will bat an eyelid.

Is it not the case that in the US most hotels require one guest to be at least 18 or even 21?

Claire ;)
