Travelling to miami

Not sure if this is in the right place, but here goes ..... Will be in disney from November 28th to December 6th with 5 adults, 1 16 year old and an 9 year old some of the adults want to go to MIami for a few days but am unsure how doable this is and how is the best way to get there?

It's at least a 4-hr drive from Orlando to Miami, maybe more depending on where you're going. You take the Turnpike East from Orlando to hit I-95 and South on I-95. The turnpike is a toll road, but I have no idea how much you'd have to pay in tolls.

How "doable" this is would depend on the people who want to go. It's a bit of a drive but they may not mind.

Yes it is a 4 hr drive well longer depending on how far south you want to go. Could be longer. I lived in Northern miami and it was 4 hrs. Your fastest way is the turnpike all the way down. It is a toll road. Take I4 east to the turnpike then go south. The first toll booth you get a ticket that will take you all the way down to west palm/broward and their the total cost is 14.80 (I just took this road and I'm sure that's the amount I know it was under 15$). Then down in broward there is a toll. Not sure how much it is now last time it was around $1 could be 50 cents more now. You can go on down to miami but I would suggest take the 595 over to 95 and take that south. That will take you down into south beach, miami beach, all the tourist stuff. The reason is say switch down there is because they are switching the turnpike to electronic tolls only and you can use it without sunpass it will just send you a bill at the end of the month for the cost of the tolls by taking a pic of your plate. If renting a car not sure how they work that out.
