I have asked this question as part of another thread but thought I might get a better response if it was a stand alone thread.

We are travelling to DLRP on the 1st June (Mon) and returning on the 6th (Sat). I have checked out the ferry prices which currently stand at £94 for the car and the family.

My question is does anyone know if the ferries run promotions at this time of year?

Cheers

Can't help you with the ferry offers, but after using the tunnel, I'd never use the ferries again ;)

lol same here!

when we did go by ferry, we used speed ferries (around £50 return)
which i dont think exist anymore ?

I don't think so to be honest. Have you tried www.norfolkline.com? May add 20 mins driving time but should be around £40-50 instead

Never even considered Norfolk Line before but after checking out thier website it is a serious option. I have always travelled P & O before but looks like Norfolk line is the better value for money. Thanks:cheer2:

I always use the ferry because it splits the journey and the kids aren't stuck in the car for so long. I find that after travelling back from DLRP and a leg strech on the ferry the kids are ready for the final 2-3 hours home!!

Never thought much about the ferry. Only ever gone by train, it's just easier to walk on in Ashford and two hours later you walk off next to the big ol' Disney Village sign. Love it.:thumbsup2

Just priced it up and it would cost us £292 return for my family of 4 with our 3 year old on one our laps:rotfl2:

I feel the Eurostar would be ideal for a couple but not for a family, thanks for the advice though.

Sometimes the ferries do offers. Have a look at Seafrance prices too as we have always found them to be cheaper then P&O & they have better ferries if you go on the Rodin or Bertlioz.

We booked with Norfolkline for our trip in July and got it for £38 return. Keep n eye on the website they often hve offers on.

We used Norfolk line last June/July & paid £59 for return crossing Would def travel with them again but bear in mind it's Dunkerque not Calais
