Travelling between parks

We are spending the day at Universal in December, mainly to see HP world. Can we easily get to the other park to see the Maceys parade in the late afternoon? Is it walking distance or do we need to drive? How long will it take to get from one park to another? thanks for the help.

Everything at Universal is within walking distance of each other. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk between the two depending on how fast you walk and people traffic.

To put it in terms of Disney, I would say it is about the same walking distance to get from gate to gate of both Universal parks as it is to get from the gate at MK to Splash Mountain. Very quick walk and you get to walk by Citywalk which can be fun.

I do have a suggestion for the Macys parade as well! Sit near the Mummy and the tree they have there. The parade stops and they lite of the tree and it snows and everything. Its a very fun event. You can also be IN the parade helping walk with one of the ballons, but since you are only going to be there one day, I suggest just seeing the parade and letting the other guests do the work of walking the ballons so you can see the whole show.

The parks are next to each other. When you come out of IOA, basically turn left and walk until you reach US.

You do not have to cross the bridges and go into citywalk, which was the mistake we made because we were too nervous to check it out, on our first trip.

If you check out googlemaps, you'll see that if you are going from USF to IOA, you pass the entrance to Blue Man Group, the front of Hard Rock Cafe and the front of NBA City and you are at IOA. Very close.

Badge, if we wanted to help handle a balloon, how do we request that? Is there (I assume) an age and/or size minimum? If my 10-year old were to be eligible to do it without my help (so I could WATCH her do it ), what's the process for getting her to the start and meeting up with her at the end? Thanks for any info! I'd never heard of this, and sounds like something she'd get a kick out of, since (ironically) she will be missing marching in our hometown parade while we are at Universal!

You can purchase a ticket for one park only or both parks together.
