Travelling after Presidents Day

I am coming from the UK. We arrive on 18th February, the day after Presidents day (I am lead to believe?). Will this week be busy?

Do American's have this week off then? I was lead to believe that this week was after the school holidays?

The week after President's day is a school week. However, I don't know if some people pull their children out of school for a vacation. We will be there Feb 20 and with the shorter days at the parks, we are hoping for smaller crowds!

I can tell you that this is a vacation week for many schools in the Northeast portion of the US. I as well as many of my friends are heading down during that week. I anticipate crowds, though not completely mobbed during that week.

We went in 2002 and are going again next month. It is pretty crowded but not unmanageable especially if you use fastpass.

My trip is planned 2/8 through 2/15: the week BEFORE President's week. I'm hoping to experience smaller crowds with some sunshine and (fingers crossed) warm weather.

Many schools in New Jersey have off that week. We do. We'll be there from the 15th through the 21st.

We here in Mass are another state who has Presidents week off. It's winter vacation.

We will be taking our grandchildren to Disney this week, arriving on the 12th and staying at Disney till the 18th then to Cocoa Beach for the remainder of the week.

When you go down to Florida around Presidents Day, you also have to watch out for Mardi Gras.

Not this year, since Ash Wednesday is late. Not until March 4th. But other years it falls with in the same week.

Some southern states give the kids off from school for that week.
So when it is timed with Presidents Week when the NorthEast States get off, you have a lot of people in Orlando.
