Travellers Cheques For Kids

Bit of an unusual question here but does any body know if there is a minimum age for using travellers cheques.

The reason I ask is my 14 year old wants to take a couple of hundred pounds for shopping and wants travellers cheques. I'm not sure if he's to young

what i did with our 13 yr old dd, this year was to change all her money into dollars and just gave her so many dollars to use a day.any she had left over was carried through to the next day.
this seemed to work out fine for us. with tc 's sometimes you are asked for i.d.

oops, forgot to say that i dont think there is an age limit on tc's!
so he will be fine using them

We travelled with my 10 yr old niece last year, and she had $150.00 in travellers cheque and $100.00 in cash dollars. She was only asked for id once at the hotel shop.

Someone on these boards mailed me a word document of Disney dollars. My keds know how much they have, but they will each be carrying $20 in "fakes", so when they want to buy something we swap them for real ones - we've allowed $20 for each park (in Universal) plus an extra $10 and hope they will learhn about budgeting!
