traveling with twins

Hi, I am going to disney in about 6 1/2 weeks and My husband and I will be traveling with our 2 1/2 yr old twin boys..
I need some advice on strollers, I have the front/back and side/side, Which stroller is easier for traveling?
What do you recommend for saftey tips at the parks.
What rides do you recommend for the little ones.
I am going to all four theme parks but will be focusing on the mk.

I suggest use side/side we used front/back ones once and the one in the back kept wanting to get out to look at everything and it became a hassal when doing pictures.

I would recomend going on Small World, Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, Aladian's Carpet ride, Dumbo, Carosel all of these in MK. At MGM go see muppet show and bugs life. I don't know much about Epcot and AK. Sorry

definitely SBS over inline.

wrt safety tips and rides, i strongly strongly strongly recommend getting the unofficial guide to WDW 2006 and following the touring plans. while it sounds overwhelming at first, it really is the easiest way to do it. i was thrilled last year to be able to get to MK and do everything we wanted to do by about 1, then get the heck out of dodge when the crowds were unbearable.

also, at their website: touringplans.com they have a touring plan for young boys which focuses on things that boys might like better.

our day went like this:
arrive v early. prior to opening. be one of the first in.
wait on mainstreet for 'rope drope'. have some toys or snacks to entertain the kids.
hustle to fantasyland, ride dumbo. ride dumbo again.
peter pan
winnie the pooh
small world
tea cups (which i'm not sure about with 2.5 yo)
indy speedcar
then with our kids (3/5 at the time) buzz, big thunder mtn
after that i can't remember but we pretty much followed the touring plan for small children in the UOGuide2005 (2006 is already out...definitely get that one) and it was great. you can follow it at your own pace, omitting anything that's not appealing.

In the UOGuide there is a ton of detailed info on every attraction in every park so that you know *exactly* what to expect. i found it to be right on. i knew which attraction each child would like and we split up when necessary. some ppl even recommend two single strollers, which is what i'll do this year. but your kids are the same age and at least at this age will probably enjoy the same things.

Another vote for the side by side! Ours was easy to manouver throught he parks and crowds. Kids didn't miss anything since they could both see. I am a Passporter fan. It is a help with heights and if the ride would be dark or intense. Have a good trip!

I have twins too, and also vote for the side-by-side. I have a $400 Peg Perego that is front to back and and a $120 Graco that is side-by-side; I bought that as a temporary one for when they were little and both needed to be able to lay down and never looked back. The $400 stroller still looks brand new (and they are now 4 1/2.)

Definately side by side!. Last time we went our twins were 3 and they did really weel. Have a blast and don't forget to take advantage of child swap!

Well, I'm obviously out voted here but I'll say it anyway.... I have twins too and always preferred my front/back stroller over the side-by-side. When my twins were little we still lived in So.Cal. and went to Disneyland often and had annual passes to Universal, so we did alot of theme parks and I just found the side-by-side too hard to get through the crowd because it was so wide. It was a real pain to push my way through. I guess it just depends on how crowded you anticipate the parks being. As far as taking pictures we just parked the stroller sideways and had my two older ones stand behind the stroller and it always came out cute with the four of them.
