Hello All:
I will be traveling with my 18 month old to WDW later this month. Since she is no longer on formula and drinks milk, we often travel ( to grandma's house, etc.) with the convenient single serve Organic Valley (8.0z) boxes of milk. That way we know she is drinking organic and it doesn' have to be refrigerated. Do you know if these are allowed to be in your carry on bags? I would like to bring at least 4 in case we are delayed and stuck on the plane. THANK YOU!! :)

You are allowed to bring milk or juice on for your children. I did it with no problem. They will put it through the xray machine and see it in there and see you have the child. I dont think they will say anything...could be wrong.

Thanks! I was getting concerned that we would be delayed and not be able to give her a bottle (which often puts her to sleep)! :)

Just check the online TSA site - it should tell you how much you are allowed to bring on the plane with you.

Thanks! I definitly will. I always turn to my fellow DIS parents - they are so knowledgable!!! :)

When we traveled with our 8.5 month old DD in Oct we packed 24 hours worth of supplies (formula, juice, baby food, etc) in case the plane got delayed or we ended up landing in a different city than intended. TSA was fine with the large amounts we brought with us.

I think it may depend on who you get at the check point. We always mix DD juice with lots of water in her sippy cup. I try to take two juice boxes and 2 bottles of water and was told that I needed to get rid of some of it that it was too much to bring on for her. They wanted me to only bring on one juice. I told them she does not drink juice by itself and it needed to be mixed with the water. They did make me open the water and they did some kind of test on it to make sure it was water. Maybe it is different with Milk in a carton.

It will probably depend on who is at the check point. In August we had to throw away 2 small unopened bottles of apple juice before we where allowed through security.

It will also depend on the code level of security on the day you fly. That's why I always check the TSA site the morning we head out. You never know what might have happened somewhere else the day before, and security has been tightened. I check the local airport website as well.

We were travelling the day Heathrow was having a bad situation unfold. We got on the plane in Bergen Norway to moderate security level, and got off in Boston to see guards with big guns, lots of canine units, and many worried looking staff.

So, have a backup plan for taking all that liquid - as in, plan to buy something after security if you have to.

As a backup plan, if you're flying through airports with a starbucks they usually carry those same boxes of milk. I've purchases them many times for my DD.

I had no issues bringing in a sippy with fresh milk, but I guess it all depends on the security level and mood of the TSA officers.
