I know I'm probably nuts but I'm in charge of setting up a family vacation for DH's family, app. 25 people (adults and children). We are going to have a meeting to decide on WDW or a cruise. Has anyone ever gotten a trip together for this many people. I think my best bet will be to go to a travel agent and maybe we can get a group rate. I'm going to get the prices together before hand so I can give everyone an idea of how much either trip will cost (WDW prices with and without a travel agent). Any tips?

Joe at Dream Come True Vacations is assisting me with a Disney cruise for 7 families for next summer - he has been great!

Also, your prices will be the same no matter if you use a travel agent or not, especially if you use a Disney specialist travel agent - these agencies do not charge any fees, and get paid a commission by Disney.

Contact myself or Joe if you have any questions.

Others will recommend Dreams Unlimited or Small World Vacations - I've heard good things about them too.

We have a large group (about 50) travelling in October but everyone was responsible for their own accomodations. Our reason was that many of us are DVC members so were booking through the Vacation Club.

Two people planned different "events" for each day of the week we are there. Attedance was not mandatory and it worked since one person collected the money and made the reservations for our Wishes cruise, the Illumination dinner, etc. The only other thing we were responsible for was our MNSSHP tickets and our tickets to the Happy Haunts Ball.

You might want to contact WDW's group sales. They can give you a lot of information. Call the regular reservation number and ask for group sales.
