Hi!
We will be traveling to Disney in June with our son, who will be 8 and our daughter who will be 9 months old. We've never done Disney with a baby, so if anyone has any tips, that would be great! Luckly, we will be there with my parents, so they can help out too.
We are driving down from the charlotte,NC area, and we don't know if we should drive straight through, or stop halfway at a hotel?
Advice?
thanks!!

We drive from Augusta, GA when we go to Disney. We drive straight through. It takes about 7 hours with one stop. We took DD when she was 2 1/2 months, 4 months, and 10 months. She did great. DH likes to drive at night when there is not a lot of traffic and when the kids are asleep. DD was still nursing at the time. Before we left she nursed, ate baby food and got her diaper changed. I made sure to keep DS and DD up so they would sleep really good. We make one stop: gas, diaper change, nurse and potty. All of the parks have baby care centers. It is a great place to feed and change the baby when it's hot outside or just to take a break. You can bring baby food and snacks in the parks. I also bring medicine with us just in case anyone needs it and it's a lot cheaper than buying it.

We drove down with our 6.5 month old from Ontario...took about 25 hours with stopping. We drove through the night though and only made one stop -- he woke up then, but otherwise, slept through the whole time. It was much easier this way than the way back when we drove during the day and had to stop much more often.

As far as parks go, just go with baby's flow...we had some days where we were up and at it really early and other days when we didn't even leave the hotel until 2 to go to the parks.

The characters are REALLY great with infants! We have some priceless pictures of Colin with everyone. We hit Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's, which were both great. We also went to Mickey's Judge's Tent and got some great pictures. The PhotoPass photographer took about 10 pictures!

We ended up buying the Mickey clip on fan for the stroller...I don't think it's unreasonably priced ($15ish) and it worked. We also brought one of those UV veils for the stroller. We used our own stroller and we also brought a sling to put Colin in for the ride lineups etc. He slept through the Haunted Mansion in the sling!

Here's my one suggestion though -- ALWAYS pack an extra outfit! The one time I didn't, we had a major blowout during dinner at the Brown Derby and then had to go searching all of Hollywood Studios for something else for him to wear!! In the WHOLE park, we could only find onesies for boys, and NO pants!! Poor kid had to go in just a onesie and a blanket the rest of the evening!

Have fun! Take pictures! Take naps! Enjoy it!
