Leaving in 5 days & have a question.....

Between myself & my kids we take alot of medication which I plan on placing in my carry on. Do they have to be in their original RX bottle or can I set up my pill organizer for the week & carry that on in my carry on bag???? This would cut down on a TON of wasted space, instead of all those bottles!!!!

Thanks for the help!!!!!!

It is my understanding that all medicines need to be in their original bottles with a printed RX so they can tell what the medicines are and they belong to you. Some airlines might let you through and then maybe not. Better to be safe than sorry. I would also think that if you have quite a few perhaps call the airlines and check to see if you can carry them in a separate bag and not have it counted toward your limit because they are medications and required.

Good luck

If the "medicine police" want to be sticklers they can even insist over the counter meds be in their original containers.

My Mom and I are traveling to WDW next weekend, so I called USAirways about this (she takes a ton of medicine). They said they do have to be in the original bottles.

Yes, I was told the same thing in the original RX bottle, and I needed DR's note for the epi-pens since they are injectible needle into the body.

Thanks for all the help. I guess I will just have to organize my pills once we get there:-)

Oh well!!!!!!!

5 more days........ :-)))))))))
