Hi all!
just responding to the posts asking if we are still in...which we are for sure! We have a boy age 2 and girl 5.

ok - now we need ideas for as this is our first time joining the fes. What is a typical item left? Is it every night? We are going to start working!

Thanks for updating your info. As for the FE stuff HerQQSmee said it best, but stickers, pens, pencils, little toys, light up stuff, pirate items. bouncy balls, tattos, spider rings, little girl jewelery, candy, cups, crafts, coloring stuff, crayon holders, magnets, bookmarks. Anything you can dream up is appreciated.

We personally make little bags and attach a label to them. We made enough for three deliveries so far. My daughter loves to deliver the stuff

Fish extenders are fun. We have received pens, highlighters, candy, stickers, door magnets, glow sticks, scrapbooking materials, cards, ...to name a few. Some people leave one item per cabin, others leave for the Disney Children, others give a couple of small gifts during the week... it just depends on what makes you happy... Remember you need a FE outside your door....to collect your gifts.....

Only thing I would add, we used to leave treats in the FE and allow our kids to take them out whenever they came back from the Lab/Club or whatever. Recent cruises however, there have been more incidents of magnets and FE stuff going missing (we have even had personalized magnets stolen which is weird) so we take things out whenever we see them rather than leave them for the kids to find later.

Talked to a friend today since they were at sea she had some time off.

She said that they are doing all sorts of little things for Halloween (they are celebrating this week as well as next) so they are not gonna be accurate.

She will see what kind of list she can send of activities. My daughter had a bunch of questions for her. Plus they are changing out entertainment staff so those things are also a bit different.

That is our favorite thing about this cruise. We get our Christmas Cards...I think or family would be upset if we did not send a DCL Christmas Card.

We're not going for a Disney type photo, just a pretty holiday pic in front of one of the trees. And I also plan to use a picture from one of our beach days.

ETA, I don't plan to shoot our pics on formal night. One afternoon I will put the kids in their formal wear, run down to the lobby and shoot away. I'll bring their semi formal clothes for them to change into just in case. When my daughter was 5 months old, I put her in a silver dress that I absolutely loved, and when I looked back at the pictures later that day, the silver totally washed her out and didn't work with what the boys were wearing, so I like to have options. And, doing it in the afternoon means we won't have to stress about getting photos on formal night.

Its not smelling good in some of the bathrooms and the room is picking up odors! Perhaps a nice FE would be a air freshener! A few cruise members from last week are complaining.
Although most are just saying nice things about the re-org drink station. Nicer to walk around. Most people were happy.
Do stores still sell the "stick-ups"? Maybe with the lid closed and one stick-up taped to the top. What do you think? I'm not fond of perfume smells but the alternatives not great either.

Maybe you could have something made special from one of the magnet designs into poster size at sams club.
Could be a keepsake for the whole family.
I found license plate threads with the children's name and can be made with a favorite Disney character background.

Oh boy oh boy! It's getting closer! I'm like a kid on christmas eve! So much more excited this year now that I know what is coming! Reading the threads is making it worse! Heehee! Ready for some R & R with the hubby & fun with our kiddos!

Thanks for the heads up on photo direction! Your a stress saver! I'm sure I too would be the one with the directionally challenged opportunity
How long is long? Are we talkin Drum stick in Frontier Land or Splash Mountain in July long?
If I get the CD will there still be a discount on the cards?
I've looked to see if they have larger than 8x10 on line. I thought I would need to purchase the CD to get a larger print to have it blown-up. I have a wall at home that looks better with larger pictures.

How do U do the multi quotes? I've never done boards before and it shows. I've learned so much in the past month. I've also learned its addictive and munches away at my time.

Do we have any engineers going on this trip? DH is a Bears fan and I have season tickets to the Packers. I have raised DD as a packer fan also. If I can figure out how to make magnets I'm going to make 2 Buzz Lightyears one in a Packer shirt and one in Bears for DH. I'm going to surprise him with the door decorations, DD knows all about them.

I need a nap DD's going to need pain med again in 2 hrs.

Re: formal night, if you plan it right, you can go during dinner, just not your time. We planned it so we left early for our "late time" and went to take pictures during the early dinner time. We were in line about 15 min. Not too bad, since other nights lines were an hour long. As far as packages, DCL is FANTASTIC about working with you. We changed/added on to our packages throughout the cruise & we were given compensation discounts accordingly. They were WONDERFUL! (We were sort of clueless our first cruise

Re: Magnets, did you figure out how to make your buzz lightyears with the football teams? If so can you share how? I'm looking for some creative magnets.... Would like to do Rangers (baseball) & Cowboys!

On the boards last week, people wrote about the Disney ships that passed each other which doesn't happen often. The postings mentioned the Magic's coming from Dry Dock so we don't see passengers. Someone commented the ship horns greeted each other. Another commented one of the ships horns was flat/off key sounding.

My PC speakers weren't set up yet but I watched gofenmom's photobucket yesterday with no sound. It was great to see that moment and share in it. I watched people smile, point and approach the rail to get the best view. It gave me a warm feeling inside.

Tonight I re-installed my speakers to my PC and I was curious to hear what a flat/off key horn sounded like. Thank you, gofenmom for posting that moment. I wasn't expecting more than a toot or two. I got a chill up my spine and teared up when I heard the horns. I got that "Magic" feeling again.

Thank goodness those Hallmark card commercials are off the air. Good luck to my daughter on her prom, graduation, wedding day...first any-day! I teared up at Very Merry Christmas so often I was afraid people would think I received bad news! (I've often equated feeling I had on my Wedding day to a night at VMC!)

If you see me looking teary eyed(and you will) with a big toothy smile on my face(I've been told I smile like a horse, hope it's meant as a compliment). Please smile or wave to me so I know you understand those are really tears of JOY! I'm so embarrassed by my reaction to euphoria.
