Hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween! We had great weather after having almost 2 weeks of straight rain. Just think a year from now we will be counting down the days, not months, to the cruise!

Halloween was great but we had hot and humid weather. I spent part of today trying to convince my grandparents and an aunt and uncle to join us for the Turkey 2010 cruise. My grandparents said they don't like not being able to see the prices up front. I explained you have to go through and pick your room and date before you know the price. So I think they'll procrastinate themselves right off this voyage.

Welcome to the cruise!

It's pockets you hang on the fish clip outside the doors. Cruisers do gift exchanges with little items so each time you go back to your room, you may find something waiting outside your door. It's just a fun extra, but it does require a little work (a lot for the really crafty ones.)

2006 cruise I decorated the door with 81/2 x11 magnets that went through the printer with fun stuff about us and the cruise......

Question for you:
2003 cruise it was just the 3 of us (me and 2 kids) and we stayed in a category 11

2006 with was 4 of us (remarried) and stayed on deck 6

2009 I picked a category 10 because we didn't really use the balcony and it puts the master bedroom at the end of the cabin which makes it easier for us to change etc...(since this is their step dad) but my son is having a cow that we are on deck 2....Your thoughts?

Welcome to our cruise! We will be on deck 2 this time. Other two times we were on deck 7- forward and midship. We splurged last time and had a balcony but decided it wasn't worth it- we will just spend more time on deck! Should have a smoother ride because you are close to the water line.

I'll send pictures and information as it gets closer. But I already have my steadfast fish extender waiting to go back. My husband said to me today "Hey! Weren't we getting ready for a cruise a year ago? This stinks. I want to go back." So I'm not the only one sad we're not sailing this year.

We have two other 15 yo girls on our cruise. Both are having their 15th BD while onboard.

We were on Deck 2 for our December 2008 cruise. LOVED IT! I also think that you'll really like the category 10. It's the category we always book and then hope for an upgrade to a 9 (we're very pleased with the 10 and the porthole isn't worth the extra $$ unless it's a few hundred $$, however we LOVE the porthole when it's free LOL!)

Last year I made a Thanksgiving FE although I figured it would be a one time thing- now I am glad I have it. One less thing to worry about next year. Been reading the 2009 cruise thread. They are counting down the days and starting to pack! Makes me want to be one of the crew!

We made it! Less than 365 days! Just think, right now this year's cruise is headed out and on their way to 7 days of paradise! Can't wait until it is our turn. Been busy this weekend, celebrating Margaret's birthday. Happy birthday to all the girls who have birthdays this week!

I'm so jealous! Wish it was our turn again. We're going nuts trying to clean the house. We're having Turkey day here and need to get it in shape for other people to see.

I did all my cleaning for the girls to come over for Margaret's party. We are leaving to see my mom and dad for Thanksgiving so that part is taken care of. I just have to survive a few hours in the kitchen with my sister. We have very different cooking styles. I may just volunteer to do clean up and leave the cooking to her! Next year, no cooking or cleaning!

We spent a lot of time today talking about next year. While I loved having dinner at my house, I'll really love having someone else cook and clean next year.

We were there for that last year. It was very cool. I hope to be able to have 7 Turkey day sailings under my belt one day.

Hi there
I have not posted in a while. We were there too and it was so amazing to hear them "singing" back and forth to each other. This will be our 11th sailing but only 2nd Turkey sailing.

Read the trip reports from this year's turkey cruise. Sounds like they had a wild ride with the fire onboard and the delayed arrival at Castaway Cay. Hope we have better luck next year.
