Traveling over a 3rd birthday

There is a chance we will be planning a trip over my son's 3rd birthday. Would we have to buy tickets for the days he goes into the park after his 3rd birthday? Does that include his birthday day?

No. If he's two when the trip starts, he's considered two for the entire trip.

I believe it only counts if you stay on property but everyone is treated as their check in age for the entire trip for food cost, ticketing, and room charges.

Interesting. I guess I always assumed offsite did simply because Disney wouldn't know exactly when your trip started especially if it was split with other places.

It's a blanket policy. It's not like they check ID or anything even if you're staying onsite, they just expect their guests to be honest.
