Traveling from Universal to Kennedy Space Center

My family and I will be spending a day during our upcoming trip at Kennedy Space Center. We are staying at HRH. I am looking for suggestions on transportation to and from KSC. Should we rent a car? Were is there a car rental location near HRH? Or, would we be better off taking a taxi? That seems like it would be very expensive to me!

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Rent the car...

KSC is probably 30 to 40 miles from Orlando.

If you really don't want to rent a car there are tours available. They pick you up at a nearby hotel. My DS and Dh did this in September. I can't remember the price but it seemed reasonable at the time and included admission. There are several companies that offer this and they found it great to be transported there and back whilst relaxing and they had plenty of time at KSC to do everything they wanted.
