Traveling during thanksgiveing from the NW

So I am up here In Seattle,Wa. I am planning my yearly trip to the world During Turkey day. It just hit me it will be winter time or close enough. I have only gone during spring and summer and weather has never even occurred to me to be a issue. My departure date will be the night of the 22nd,preferably a non stop just take the threat of weather delay out of it. But to tell you the truth i am kind of worried that maybe i plan a bad time!!. I do not care how long it takes me to come home but to get there, i want to be there on time even if i have to pay through the nose to make sure. Should i plan a extra day to get there?,should i go by bus or train??. I am i just over reacting? please tell me I am

If there is bad weather, it can delay any flight, no matter what you paid for your ticket.

Try to fly a route that does not include a stop in a city where there is a chance of bad weather in November, especially Chicago, New York, Denver, or Boston. A non-stop flight would be best, followed by a direct flight stopping in a southern city, such as Atlanta or Houston.

You should be okay flying from Seattle if you are worried about a snow delay.

Keep in mind the weather may be great in Seattle or Orlando, but your flight could still be delayed or canceled if your plane is coming from a place with weather problems.

There aren't any guarantees; just book the best flight you can and hope it works out. Yes, I think you are worrying too much and NO, don't take a bus from Seattle!

Ya Alaska air lines as remember are the only ones that offer non stop flights to Orlando from Seattle. Or take a flight that goes through LA, i have did that the last couple trips
