Traveling Disers are lost and adrift somewhere?

Deadheadbelle the thing about the cruises to Bermuda is that while its super convenient for me as they leave right out of Boston and it is an awesome island to go visit, the ships are totally old and tired. I have looked at the ship that sails out of Boston and I would not want to be couped up on it for a week. Our friends may change our minds but they really want a short 4 day cruise because they want to leave munchkins at home - the shortest cruise to Bermuda is 6 days so I think they are going to be sadly dissapointed and we are hessitant to wait until they firgure out what they really want to do because its getting to be close to full payment dates for cruises.

Kim, maybe we should actually be social this time

so they are all at lunch over in Germany, here we go

Wait, hold on, I have to stop and watch the trains for a minute

All righty then SOCIAL IT IS!! Germany here we come!! I've never been to Germany for any amount of time(just strolled through last time) so what do you suggest I get to eat/drink?

Castlegazer, I think the Carnival cruise sounds great! 8 days plus a kids club for 2 year olds!!!!! What are you waiting for? Worst case is you don't do another one but how do you know if you don't try? I would wait for the DCL until you can do a land/sea combo witht he kids-just MY opinion-not that it really counts!;)

Kim

castlegazer, like you, my first reaction to Carnival is NO, but that's based on older ships, not the newer ones. And, any cruise with a balcony stateroom and a kids camp to boot - definitely worth a serious consideration.

Of course, if you ask me again after lunch with tons of beer and bratwurst, I could give you a different answer.

(And, side note, while Ed and Castlegazer have at some point looked like those last posted photos, they definitely did not look that way when they awoke this morning following the Hoop Dee Doo party - major circles under the eyes and much moaning going on).

Did somebody say cruise to Bermuda? ;)
Actually after the meet Sunday we went to the Black Falcon terminal to visit the Norwegian Majesty which we will be sailing on in 11 short weeks. :hyper:
Castlegazer, In case you are interested in that, we did a tour of that ship a couple years ago. While its definitely not the Disney ships, LOL, its not bad at all. A few years back they added a whole new middle section to it. Also, like you said, I find a short drive to the port to be the biggest plus of all....well and that Bermuda is gorgeous. :D

I'm so hungry I could eat a foot long sausage & some stuffed cabbage. Ewww, did I just say that? OH well, it's a good think we are at the Biergarten. Speaking of which, where's my Beck's?

Castlegazer, where does the Carnival ship stop that goes out of NYC? I think it sounds like a great deal. If it is a new ship, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Ah, thanks for the Beck's. Go ahead & bring another please.

Boy you all are getting chatty here with our Becks in hand. Antkim, there's a really nice store in Germany that sells hand blown glass Christmas ornaments and other things from Germany that I really liked. I didn't like the biergarten but today I do. We always tend to eat here as its pretty much in the middle and a good place to take a break. But the food is not what I come to Epcot for and I am German thru and thru.

CamColt - did you get to see any of the rooms on the ship? I get the impression after seeing it only from the shore that's its not very nice inside. You really liked it? I am getting a quote on the Majesty now because its still a possibility. Everyone tells me how wonderful Bermuda is.

Deadheadbelle, the NYC cruise goes down to San Juan, and then off to Tortolla BVI, and then St. Thomas.

I've always wanted to check out Tortola. If you go to St. Thomas, say "hi" to my DFIL. He lives there with his young bride

Hey I've been in germany all along I started in Canada and watched off skilter or helter skilter or anway I was drinking my way around, I stopped here to wait for you guys...hey your kinda cute...oh sorry sir...now as I was saying... :drinking:

Hey Ed... you look like I did last night. Maybe we should have a burping contest!!! LOL

Kim

Hey Everyone!

In case you're looking for me, I've been here wine tasting in France all afternoon. Please pick me up (..........and you may HAVE to.......LITERALLY........this wine is VERY good........! :) ) on your way to your next destination, when you are finished in Germany! Gotta love the World Showcase! :) Thanks so much for having us EWP Suite'ers along on this leg of your tour! :)

Wow - it sounds like we may have to "pick up" Ed, as well! :)

Mmmmmmmm.........tequila.............don't forget to collect me, as you travel past, on your way to Mexico! Maybe we can hitch a ride with the Character Caravan, so that we don't have to walk - or stumble - all that way! :)

I LOVE the Mexicos in Margarita!!! Salt please!

Kim

I think its time for me to try a Margarita. Boy Im doing lots of new things on this little trip. Woohoo!!!:Pinkbounc

Castlegazer, yes we saw the rooms, a CC to be exact. They are definitely tinier than DCL, but not so incredibly small that it would bother me. Ask me again after a week with DH and the 2 kids in there, LOL! But really, I doubt we will spend a lot of awake time in the room anyway so Im not concerned about that. My parents have done that cruise quite a few times now and my sister and her family went once. They have nothing but rave reviews over it. I guess I feel no cruise can really be a bad one, especially this one since my parents are treating us all, LOL! ;)

.. i have been running all over this place to catch up with you all...pant pant huff and puff let me catch my breath a minute.. running is hard on my short little chubby legs...

Heading to Margaritaville??? can I join you?? Ole!!! Please pass the chips and salsa. More salsa senior!!

I'll have a margarita on the rocks with salt. And give me one of the big glasses. The last time we ate in Mexico, my mom freaked out when her glass was smaller than mine & my brother's. The poor waitress tried to explain that the glasses are hand blown individually so the size can vary. It was hysterical.

Deadheadbelle careful about asking for the BIG GLASS... when you go to Whispering Canyon ask them for the BIG GLASS and see what happens... Tee hee!

Well now....seems like my ship-mates have been doing a World Showcase crawl, so to speak. Shame on you all for leading poor castlegazer astray!!! And in her delicate condition too!! I think that the last time I saw Ed he had some little ole ladies on his arm and he was telling them how cute they were! What's up with that?? Methinks that maybe he should step away from the bar!!! See you all in Mexico.
