traveling diabetic and refrigeration

We will be vacationing in June at the HRH and my husband is a diabetic and needs to refrigerate his insulin. Will the hotel still charge to get a refrigerator or will we need to push back items in the minibar?

I suggest you give the hotel a call. It is an important enough question to get the answer directly from the hotel.

I always ask about a refridge and sharps container when I make my reservations. I have never been charged when I do it this way.
I remind them at check in. I think they take you seriously when you need the 'sharps' container for needle disposal.

We just returned from the HRH (stayed over Easter weekend) and we requested a fridge on our reservation. There was no charge and no problem. We did have to remind them upon checkin but it was quickly delivered to the room. We also requested a sharps container and it was delivered immediately. Just let them know--they are very accommodating!
