Traveling between airsides at MCO

My boyfriend is flying United and, from what I've read, will be arriving airside 4, on the east side of the airport. I am flying Delta which I understand arrives airside 3 on the west.

His flight arrives 3 hours before mine. He wants to meet me at my gate (remember how people use to do that long, long ago pre-9/11?) From what I've read, it looks like you can't travel between the east and west ends of the airport without going through security, which, of course, he won't be able to do... am I right?? Or is there a walkway from east to west, to where the little monorail takes you to the gates??

That is true. He can meet you somewhere in the pre-security area.

Actually, from what I read here (under Getting Around), you can, there's just a very specific way to do it.

"Getting Around" tells how to travel between Airsides 1 and 3 or between Airsides 2 and 4. There isn't a way to get from 3 to 4 without going through Security.

Jk, not really a big deal, but good to know so he won't leave through security without killing some time at the Ruby Tuesday bar, first!!
