Travelex 1-HOUR Flash Sale!

Ok a little heads up for you all, just heard about this from the weekly MoneySavingExpert email.

Apparently Travelex are having a 'Happy Hour' this Thursday between 4-5pm where it will boosting it's US Dollar rate! No one knows what the rate will be but Travelex online rate is normally quite competitve so this maybe worth taking a look at.

I can't see the rate being better than the currency card rates (FairFX) but will good for those who like to take some notes with them plus you can order up to two weeks ahead if you want to pick up from the airport so you can lock in the rate!

Damn, I'm at a wedding at that time tomorrow, so no way I could check if it would be any good for us.

No idea if I you had to do anything special but I clicked on the offer banner on their site within the correct timescale, rate was no different to after the offer time wndow.

I remember them doing same last year, the offer was 0.2cents more than regular rate.
Hopefully this will be better but doubt it.

Rate with them just now is 1.52050, lets see what they offer, although no use to me as they are not in Manchester airport anymore, they changed to ICE exchanges.

About 4.15pm, think fairfx put their rate up to compete with travelex during their sale as the rate dropped later

Both FairFX and ICE increased their rates for the hour to just over $1.55 to beat Travelex.
