travelers checks cards?

Hello! I was wondering if the travelers checks that are now a card, can be used like any other credit card. For instance, can I use them to book airline tickets on line? I was thinking AAA sold ones that had Visa on them. Does anyone know? Because of my poor credit, my regular credit card don't have high enough limit on them to book 4 tickets so I though this might be a way to take advantage of the good deal.

Sorry Drumflower, this card can only be used as an ATM card OR where pin numbers are accepted. Minimum load is $250 with a card fee of $4.95. Card can be loaded up to three times.

TravelMoney won't work, but AAA has another product, called a "Gift Card" that (according to their online literature) *does* act just like a regular VISA. Perhaps that will work.

Wow! Thanks! Those prepaid cards just might work! I need to renue my membership ! lol I wonder if there is a limit on the amount you can put on the card. I am going to try to call today and see if they will give me the information . Thanks again! I will let you know the turnout!

I called and reinstated my membership( was going to do this anyways) and my local AAA(chicago) does not have the Visa Travel Money cards yet. They said they might have them at the 1st of the year. Bummer, that is too late for me to get plane tickets.

According to their FAQ, you can order them from the website in my post above. And, there appears to be a limit of $1500, though that might just be for initial purchase, not future loads.
